Favorite Rides and Food Forum

We're all from So IL. I know a lot of good places to eat and ride. How bout you. I figure if we all post good rides and places to eat, maybe M&G's may happen more frequently. Me First:

Ride 1: Obviously IL 100 Alton to Pierre Marquette then cross ferry into MO and ride MO94 south back to Alton. Eat at the Loading Dock or Finn Inn in Grafton or Fast Eddie's in Alton.
About 45 minutes each way plus scenic road in Pierre Marquette

Ride 2: Cross the river on Jefferson Barracks bridge in South St. Louis and ride down 67 hilly scenic road. Eat at Tractors in Perryville.
Roughly 1.5 hrs each way from Metro East.

Lantern Pub, Ashley
Jerry's Bigger Jigger, Centralia
Popeyes Chop House, Breese
Darcy's Pub, Springfield

Five Brothers, Odin (Salem)
Giant City State Lodge, Mikanda (Carbondale)
Benny's, Marion

I agree, their are a lot of good rides...The one I had in mind is Gaint City State Park Lodge, Maybe get some riders together, for late summer or early fall 8) 8) [/img]

Hog Daddy's is a good ride also, I'm sure there are some good eats some where down there, then go across the river into kentucky, thru little sturgis and back across the ferry into cave in rock....back up through Shawnee National Forest.
