Y'all need to check out this site. http://www.coloradovtxrangeriders.com/
I looked at the registration and saw a total of '1' Wyoming person signed up. Can't imagine who that is. Let's get Wyoming represented at this ride-in with a few more people. Even if you aren't going to stay down in Denver, if you leave early enough from Cheyenne you can still catch a day ride. Great people and you get to see some different things done to VTXs. They will even let your ridin' buddies, on those other types of bikes, ride along.

I'll have to wait a little longer before I actually register for it, but I'm pretty sure I'll be there. If things work out right I'll meet up with Don in Cheyenne and ride out from there with him.

OK Mutt, if they're going let a certain brand of oil-spilling bike "ride", I'm not sure about this. I like to go faster than a walk. ;-)

George, it's bad enough Mutt's climbing on my back, but you too??? Come on, give me a break! Who said I was going in the first place? Huh? I didn't go last year! So there!!!

I know Doc went down last year, I'm guessing he'll visit too.

BTW, I didn't go last year because of a conflict. I think I might be going this year but I have to work on July 2-3, so ...

I'm just saying "if" Don.

If these guys don't mind a HD tagging along (a pretty fast one actually) I'm sure Dave would come down with me too.

What a great day yesterday. It was great to see everyone up in Casper. Speaking of which, George, tell Dave he's welcome to come with; if he uses the traditional H-D transportation methodology (a trailer). lol Tell him Kelly can drive and he can sit on the bike to feel the wind.

You all better watch that 80dtylord; he's got a couple extra horse and he's on the light side - meaning if he runs in back, it's cause he chooses to.

Sounds like we're going to have a GREAT time!!!

Don, it was good to see you and visit with the cheyenne and Laramie groups. As to Dave, that's one HD you'll never see on a trailer. As to the power aspect, he's past me already and still looking at bigger cams, intake and possibly bumping the copression a little higher yet. Right now he can get the front tire off the ground in the first three gears

still, a skinny guy on an 1800 would be hard to catch. :D

Don, get over and pick up your tins from the 'painter'. They were looking pretty good today. Give me a call if Nunya and shawn run into any problems. I think they should be able to handle things pretty well though. I can't wait to see how things look on the bike.

notice the time on that posting - Shawn's litteraly working day and night on these bikes.

Tuesday, Nunya and I leave for Phoenix. So there's some pressure.

Haven't ridden my baby since October, so I'm getting anxious.

When do we start talking about taking it apart next winter? I've got some more ideas and ....

Don, you're as bad as I am. I've laready thought of another paint scheme in case I don't like the one I'm doing this winter I can redo it next one. If only custom paint jobs didn't look so silly on dirt bikes I'd have two other bikes to play with :)

I'm with you Mutt. I can't wait for the bike to be done and I'll post pictures.

I haven't made a reservation yet, but I ought to. Maybe I'll figure out how to do that today.

Gotta find out if Doc & Sue are going down this year. They went down for a day visit last year.

Maybe we can have a real live "contingent". >-)

Shawn, ya have to get there early in the morning, or, more towards the evening, after the rides. Most of the rides usually start around 0800 or 0900, depending on the length of them. I think that the Saturday is when most people will be arriving. By Saturday evening, the parking lot should be full of VTXs.

Only 87 days left!

We should have 15 bikes from IL this year (and only 2 or 3 of them in trailers). I'm hoping to get Redbird's "longest ride" award away from him this year. Took the long way there last year (3600 miles) and still didn't get it! :x

mutt
04-04-2007, 06:40 PM
So that means, if I was to ride out to meet you before you left, and tagged along, I would get the longest ride? Ah, forget that. I am still going for the closest out-of-stater.

See y'all there.

Sure! C'mon over. We'll be leaving Chicagoland and heading east about 1200 miles into Canada then heading south into Vermont and continue south down along the Appalations and Blue Ridge mountains until we need to make a right hander to head to Colorado!
