For those of you who have never been to Rosie's @ Don's, you don't know what you're missing (and that's not always a bad thing :o   ), but on Saturday, the 3rd of Feb. he is extending an open invitation to anyone who'd like to ride to his place in Taft, AL and enjoy the company of a few of the AL X riders alongwith a sampling of a couple of different chili recipes (no, none, so far anyway, will contain any strange animal's meat  ....you see, Don's not as quick on his feet as he used to be and he can't catch opossums like he could a few years ago). For those who don't know, and/or have never before cared, to get to Taft, you take hwy 9/20 to the West into AL out of Rome, then hang a right on hwy 35 toward Ft. Payne and then take a left onto hwy 273 and Don's place (Rosie's is next to his house and garage) is on the left about 2 miles down from the 35/273 intersection. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&formtype=address&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&cat=&address=&city=Taft&state=AL&zipcode= He suggests, if you want a cool one, bring it with you, but the chili's on him.

I probably will and I'll bet Eric will give it a bit of consideration as well.

LOL I know we have to clean out from under the dock and repair the shore line during this time every year. But the crappy fishing if you can find water which we are always on water(falls off at end of dock) is unreal!

Cooking Chili is one of my favorite things to do, the other is BBQ Baby Backs. It is hard to find really good chili but it sounds like fun. Maybe I'll bring some of mine for him to sample.
