Sturgis South ? - Angel City - Unadilla, GA - July 4th

Posted this on the General forum as well... but took the 120 mile ride from Valdosta - Angel City yesterday... definitely have GOT to get me a pair of heated gloves... fingers froze...

But, while there we spoke with the lady working there who said that they had some Sturgis reps there a month or so ago, looking over the place, etc.

"Supposedly", if Angel City makes a few additions to their existing set up, the Sturgis folks are supposed to sign off and help promote a July 4th event.

She also mentioned that if they do promote, partner, etc, it would be the first time they have ever done so outside of the SD area.

We'll see... that'd speak volumes for our motorcycling community though.

Well, that's a bit interestingly confusing since there's already a Sturgis, MS and a Little Sturgis, KY event every year?!

Hey Jeff,

We thought the same thing that maybe the events in KY and MS were also sponsored as well by the SD folks, but the lady working at Angel City Saturday asked about this when they advised her the GA event would be the first sponsored outside of SD.... they said they had nothing to do with KY/MS ???

Go figure... maybe those were done on their namesake only ? Anyway, if the SD folks do help promote, sponsor, etc would be a pretty big deal (i think?)...

Also, don't know if you remember or not, but i had pm'd you once or twice on the NC Paladin guards... finally got them in and on... just awaiting the Kury longhorn offset dually pegs/rests...

I really like the look of the guards on the bike... there has been a little adjustment for my shift foot... seems i have to "think" a little more about where and how I put my foot under the shift lever... I'll get used to it... but once I get my pegs on... I believe it is going to be really great...
