Hello Southern Illinois

I was pretty happy to see a southern Illinois group......until I realized it should be called a central Illinois group. Is there anyone in this group south of Springfield? I know that people in Chicago(especially the politicians) don't realize there is anything south of springfield but we do exist. We even have all of our teeth and can speak in complete sentences. If there is anyone out there that is really in southern Illinois please speak up and maybe we can plan some rides "down" here

I think 90% of the people that post on this board are from Central or Southern IL 8)

I'm from Mattoon and several of us try to get together every month for a ride or a few brews. This Sunday we are going to meet in Champaign for a burger n brew. I know it's a little way from Springfield but if you can make we can set up some rides or meets in you area.

I am about 30 minutes South of Springfield.

There's alot of us who ride the river area alot in the warmer season...
Don't hesitate to let everyone know when & where you want to ride...

I use to live in Highland but moved closer to work, I live in Okawville now but go to Highland alot, my son still lives there........I also go to Edwardsville to get my chroming done....Handler lives there, just out side of town........ we go for rides up to Alton, Grafton and beyond. I've meet some good people around the area......we should be having a meet and greet this spring...right ZAM :wink: ......there's a couple members closer to ya......ragincajun40 is from Collinsville and Gottheshaft is from Fairview, then throw in some of the MO boy's like Showtime56 and others.......I'm sure theres more that will chime in...........good choice in bikes and pipes :wink:

Hopefully this summer we are going to put together an overnight ride to Old Shawneetown. Maybe we can have meet up at Hog Daddy's since your not to far from Old Shawneetown :wink:

Anything past Interstate 80 is considered Central IL. and anything South of Bloomington is Southern IL. :roll:

I'm about a 100 miles from Kentucky....we ride down there a couple times a year, down thru Garden of the Gods in Illinois, over to Cave in Rock, IL then across the ferry into Kentucky, through Little Sturgis and back across the river into Old Shawnee Town... makes for a good day trip :D

New to the board, but love to read what is going on. Now I have a home!! Looking forward to the summer.

I spoke to somebody (it's been about 3-4 weeks ago) in at RTD looking at a grey 1300...told them to buy it, nice bike...

I was looking at the grey 1300c at RTD but they never prepped it to ride after 3 days of trying to ride it . I went to Decatur and got 1300R in silver and at a better price.

Yep - that's the one...I was riding my VFR that day.
Figures w/RTD...I jsut don't understand their business approach.
I won't deal with them on anything...I just stop in occasionally when I'm out riding

I have bought 2 bikes from World of Power Sports...my X being one of them.
I'm taking my bike over there on Saturday as a matter of fact...good people...
