Missouri VTX patch (revisited)

Everyone,

while a lot good info was covered in the last thread on this topic...

no real progress was made, and too many people were scared off.
a few comments to heart were reccomended, some good, some warry, but let me state that pride and ownership in VTX is always growing, and there's nothing wrong, illegal, rude, or insulting about showing a little spirit.
clearly this isn't a MC-outlaw-club, and will obviously be reccognized as such if done correctly.
I would certianly like to support my hometown state by getting a missouri patch.
I do want the small version of what you make, so i can fit it on my vest (no room for the huge back-patch).

Many states, orgs, and other VTX groups have created what appears to be a common themed 4" oval like this (i even have one for the state i'm in now with always positive results):

but it would be refreshing to see something original for a change, and this one in about the 4-inch size seems very promising...

patches on the front of the vest certianly DO NOT (repeat NOT) imply in any way that you are affiliated with a MC "club", or any other outlaw group. furthermore, most of those groups could care less that you have a MANUFACTURER/MODEL patch on your vest. it's when you start implying a special club, or org (and sometimes territory).

Rather, these patches do signify at most rides, gatherings, and other events (especially one's i've attended in multiple states) that you have pride in your ride. many people will compliment your patch, design, artwork, and such. They're much like tatoos, not visible all the time, and only visible to those you want to show it too.
Worried about it, take your vest off, or wear something over it. But MOST-ALL the time you will get nothing but positive reactions from either design i saw.

Please consider making one and proudly wearing it too.
I fully support the Missouri VTX patch idea (for the 4" oval, round or other shaped design of that size).

I look forward to seeing the final result, and placing my order for the first one off the embrodery machine. Heck, i'll even take four!!!

i also would like to see a patch i emailed the place in kc that someone on the last post suggested and she emailed back no minimum order and the patch measured like 4x5 looks just like your rendition for 22 bucks a piece which sounds aweful high to me so we shall keep looking tg

The Patch company I use will be getting the art work this week & will able to give a quote on price. They are a local company (to Spfld.) & I have done bussiness with them several times over the years. I believe they will do us a GREAT job & a good -fair price as I have done bussiness with them before. I'll let everyone know ASAP.

which style of patch were you going to do?
the circular one is really cool, but has TONS of detail and can drive up the price significantly.
the Ovals, while fairly plain, are still cool and can be much cheaper due to complexity and only 3 colors used instead of about 6.

just a thought.
when you get these estimated for price, can you please include both styles for estimates on the board.

again, i would like at least 4 patches

I have absoultely NO doubt in my mind that even if you have 500 of these made, they will sell like HOT-CAKES if you take them to any motorcycle event, or any VTX ride function within the state. (maybee even a few dealers too).

Okay folks :D I now have a sample patch. The folks at the embrodery shop run this one in the 4.5 size. The reason being Tom didnt think the 4 inch would show up the detail as well as the 4.5 does. I pretty much agree with him, because I want everyone to know I ride a "VTX". I'll get some pics on here in a short to show it on a vest and some close up's ASAP. :D

Basically the logo looks so typically gothic with flames etc., that it lacks originality. Motorcycle riders seem to like this approach and this one will probably be popular. The smaller the image is used the less it will be readable. Keep this in mind. Its too bad there isn't a national VTX logo that each state could underscore with their state name.

you were inquiring about a simple patch that's readable at that size, and also one that's fairly standardized nationally that would simplify for every state/region etc...

well, that was my original post.
if you check my very first post, it has an oval patch, that so far at least 7 states, and at least two countries (australia) that i know of (probably more) are currently using.
as it stands, i have california, washington, oregon; (basically the whole west coast), and our group has other riders with many other states,
TX, OK, NJ, and Mass, (and probably others) also have the same style.

I cannot (and will not) force my "home state" (but not my current residence state) to pick that style; but it was one of the suggestions.

i do think the patch Mo-VTX has is awesome, and support his efforts at his cool logo, and also support whatever my fellow Missourians have agreed upon.

and i can't wait to see the patches in the flesh.

Be sure & order the 4.5 patch as I really think it is the way to go.

I know some of you have already ordered the 4" patch & may want to reconcisder on it & change it to the 4.5.

are you saying that the 4" isn't turning out quite right?
as long as the text is clearly visible, i'd rather have that size, as it's doensn't clash with the other patches in size.

however,
if you happen to have the two side-by-side, and send me a pic, and it's obvious the 4" isn't working well, i'll reconsider, and adjust my payment amount.

They guys in washington are also doing a hat (ball-cap) with our logo (the oval one on the front of the post).

Okay the parches are in and being sent out as quickly we can get them to. There are ''NO'' four inch patches as they looked like crap and the manufactuer would not send them out....so you will be receiving the 4.5 inch at the 4 inch price if I have already recived your money & order.

Got my patches yesterday, Totally Awesome!!!!!!!

They are a little large for my taste, but certianly have lots of detail and soooo many colors. Nice.

Thanks for sending them even though i ordered the smaller size.
If you need any further payment (to adjust for the size difference), just say so, and i'll be happy to remit the difference.
