Hi everybody!
Just dropping in to say I'm a proud owner of an 05' 1800 VTXF!
I'm a new rider ( 2 years this spring) started out on a GZ250 Zuki and then went honda 600 vtx, 1100 shadow spirit and now the bike of my dreams.
Although it was used, it only has 2,400 miles on it and only got to ride for about an hour. ( the only decent day we had in January 01/26/07 and it got up to 55 degrees and I went and nabbed this beauty)

I love to ride. Any day when it's above 56 you will find me on my bike.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Welcome to the site Sherry! And congrats on your new scoot. From reading your post, it looks like you have stepped up through your experience with some pretty good steps! Take your time getting use to her or him as you may call it.......................the X is a powerful scoot which can bite you like a corba snake if you lose respect for its power.

The tech board has many, many great ideas and info on things pertaining to the 1800 as well as the 1300. The general board is more of a all around cycle, bytch and bleeding heart board..................

Also, the owners of this site have a great store for all of your Xs needs with some really great pricing....................

BigBikeRiders.com is the sister photo board to this site where many owners have posted pictures of their scooters and different mods that they have completed. If you are interested in showing pictures in your thread types, you will have to join for free along with a password to your special photo holding area. I believe other photo shops online will work too................................

You can contact anyone here by doing what is called a pm, private message, or if they have added their email, you can email them direct.

There is much much to learn and experience here so sit back and explore it all...............................any questions feel free to pm me or email, or for that matter anyone to help. Also, remember being a woman rider, you are a special breed.......................one that has the guts and skills, along with the talent it takes to operate a scoot. I for one commend you for your efforts........................Please dont hesitate to ask questions on any of the boards even if you think its a stupid question. There are no stupid questions!

One last thing, you will find there are quite a few female riders here too...........................introduce yourself on the General Board, and I am sure the gals will welcome you and give you the girly tips.................

Have fun and ride safe,
Show

Hey Sherry,
Welcome to the board and the VTX, I switched from a 1100 shadow spirit myself. I went from about 5,000 mi a year to 10,000 because the X is just so much more fun to ride. Be careful it's an addiction. I love the drive out 50 to Jeff City and then back 94, great ride. See you on the road.
Jeff

Good luck with your new bike.

Any day above 56, eh? Is that "a high of 56" or starting out at 56?

Listen - I'll betcha that the first day the forecast calls for a high of 50 (and sunny) you'll be out there riding that thing. :pepper1:

I know I will be - and Jeff (he's good for those days that start out at 38 and top out at 45).

Happy motoring - and be safe.

Hey Sherry,

I have owned 3 VTX1800C models with my current bike being Uranium. They are great bikes and this is a great forum. We have a VTX rally coming up in June in Rolla, Mo. Hope you can make it. Read the announcement on the forum.

Welcome, Sherry!

A bunch of Roadstar riders that I hang out with have their annual 9/11 memorial ride up in Ashland. Welcome to the site.
