Another ridder gone

Ricky (Slick) Godfrey was killed in a motorcycle accident on Scoggins Rd. in Dallas on Sun. evening. His funeral will be at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Wed. at 2:00. Slick was the President and one of the founding fathers of the Legion Ridders Post 111 in Dallas. He was also one of my best friends and has been for almost 25 years.Any one that can please come to the funeral,his wife would like as many bikes as possible.He was a great ridder,husband,father, and friend.I know a lot of yall won't be able to make it but please remember his family in your prayrs. Maybe we all can learn some thing from this BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.

Thanks every one for your prayrs and thoughts. Actualy for me it is 3 in less than 8 months,two were ridder error. Plesae continue to pray for the family,the after effect is very tuff. The family is not taking it to good so they will need all the help they can get.

Well I went to the funeral and let me tell ya it was COLD. I think it was the first time I have rode in the snow. Most all day it was COLD,rode all together about 50-60 miles. It is going to take me a while to thaw out,but all in all it was good.We had about 25-30 bikes and every one did good.

I want you to know I was thinking about Ricky (Slick) Godfrey today and even thought about riding to his funeral today. I’m getting over an injury myself and it still needs more time to heal. I really feel for Ricky’s family and your loss of a friend. I know the after effects are very tuff. What can I say except to please extend my condolences to his wife and his family.
