I just ordered at Silver 1800S (I hear that is the fastest color) and will pick it up when I come from from Iraq on R&R in a few days. Do any VTXOA members live in the Rock Springs area? If there are, IF the weather is nice in the first part of March I may try to take it out and it would be nice to have others to ride with, otherwise I will just leave it in storage when I return to Iraq and just mentally dress my bike...

I'll take that as a no for riders in SW Wyoming. I did get the bike while I was home. Even had a chance to ride around Flaming Gorge. Great ride, a little chilly, but still most fun I've had in a while.

Sorry you had to ride alone. There's several of us here in Cheyenne (including myself, my wife, and my daughter). As for speed, I can tell you that whichever color I'm riding is slowest (I'm over the army's weight limit by one person plus).
Thanks for serving, we honor YOU!!!

Thanks, I appreciate the support. We are over half-way, so my thoughts are turning more and more toward riding again. Will let you all know when I get back - will want to ride... :D

Ghost, let us know when you are coming back home. If your entire Unit is returning with you, I'm sure the Patriot Guard riders may be able to meet you guys. Who knows, maybe we could figure out someway for your bike to meet you there too.

I ended up injuring my neck and am now at Fort Gordon, GA waiting for surgery. Nothing major, and it wasn't a direct battle injury, but enough to send me home early (mixed feelings there).
I hope I will be recovered enough to ride this summer/fall. I'll keep folx on the WY board posted.

Thanks for the update, hope you're healing well. When you get up and going be sure to let us know, I'm all over the state and really enjoy meeting new people (one of the reasons I teach the Motorcycle Safety course for WYDOT)

Looks like I should be home in early to mid April - finally. While in Georgia I managed to visit the Tail of the Dragon 3 times making 5 runs, one in the rain and another while it was dark. I have put on over 8,000 miles since I brought the bike down here in July. Still, can't wait to get home. Hope to meet you all soon.
