FYI, if you live in western Ar and want a Honda you will save a heck of a lot of money buying one in Broken Arrow, Tulsa, or Bartlesville instead of the dealer in Ft.Smith.

Ouch! Sounds like the voice of experience. Russellville does a big volume too.

Yep, Ft. Smith dealer refused to negotiate on Honda Windshield and his price on extended warranty was much higher than at Green Country in Broken Arrow or Bartlseville. Also dealer in Broken Arrow delivered bike for NO Charge to my home in Muskogee which the dealer in Ft.Smith refused to do. When I ask someone for their best price thats what I expect and got from Green Country and Barlesville but was getting screwed in Ft.Smith. Like they say "shop around" and confirm that you are getting a good price. Even after forfeiting my 500 dollar down payment I still saved over 1000 dollars and got free delivery from Green Country.

That's kinda a surprise since one would imagine bikes are not moving too fast. Most dealers are sitting on bike inventory and good cash in hand cutomers are scarce. Well, I'm glad that you got a good deal, and you'll probably do alot more biz with that dealer too. Retailers need to learn "You can sheer a sheep many times, but you can only skin them once."

Yep, I'm from Ft.Smith and had to take my son who just got back from Iraq to Ft.Smith on 12/27. While I was there I swung by the dealer and foolishly put down a 500 dollar deposit for a F Spec 3. The next day I called him about getting a windshield installed and he wanted full retail but graciosly said he would pay for the freight, about 25 dollars. I then called Green Country in Broken Arrow who discounted the same shield by 75 dollars with free installation and was also 200 dollars lower on the 5 yr extended warranty and told me he would put the bike in the back of his truck and deliver it to me in Muskogee. Well around that time it was very cold and the Ft. Smith dealer would only deliver for an undisclosed price. end of story I will be staying with Green Country.

I prefer bartlesville..

The dealership in Broken Arrow were a55holes to me when I went in there *With Cash* to buy my 1300..

At the time I could buy a brand new 2004 1300 anywhere for about 8,500.
The dealer in BA wanted 9,300. I had the cash and asked him to match the 8,500 price and instead of politly telling me he couldn't, he laughed at me and made me feel like I was taking food out of his kids mouth..

I'll never darken their door again..

I ended up buying in Bartlesville for 7,600. So I guess I can say I got the last laugh.

I bought my over the phone from Sunrise Honda in Searcy AR.
I called every dealer in Arkansas and Sunrise had the best price.
I wanted a windshield and the salesman put it on himself just before I arrived.

The only problem was I wanted a R and go an S instead.
I was so excited about getting it I never noticed the wheels till I was home. But keep it anywhy. Looking back on it I would have preferred the cast wheels because of the tire choices.

I saved over $1,500 ( lowest local price, they didn't believe me about Sunrises price and wasn't interested in matching )

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience in Broken Arrow. The salesman I dealt with was very courteous. He was asking 8900 for a 2006 1300R, I told him I could get the same bike in Bartlesville for 7999. He excused himself for a minute to talk to the owner and then came back and told me he could sell it for 8300 and he would personally deliver it to me in Muskogee for no charge. That was on a Sat and he delivered the bike to my home on Monday. The 300 difference in price was worth it since I didnt have to ride an unfamilar bike over 100 miles to get back home and ask someone to take me to Bartlesville. Sounds to me like you just ran into a salesman that didnt really give a crap about making a sale or not. No doubt though Bartlesville has the best prices I have seen anywhere.

I've tried to deal with the FS dealer many..many times.. I would just like the conveinence of buying local.. The last straw was about 10 years ago when I was looking for a Valk Tourer. They had one, and Green Country had one...The Fort Smith dealer was...$3500.00 dollars more !! thats right $3500.. I told them if they would meet the price I would buy from them.. They told me to buy it from Green Country.. So I did. Now days its hard to even be acknowledged when you walk in the door. If I buy anything local, I always go to Wheeler Power Sports because of their great service. It's enough that if I wanted to buy a new bike local... As much as I love Hondas , I promise you it would not be from them. My last buy (1800 c), was from Heartland in Springdale.

Not if you include Ebay. Last February I bought a retro 1800 04 leftover for $8150 new. It was 3 hrs away in Springfield. No one bid on it all week, and I knew I would be outbid. 1000 hits on the auction but only one bid-mine. As I was signing all the paperwork, I asked the dealer what he had in the bike. He showed me: $8600. So, I basically got paid $450 to take their bike home. I noticed their next auctions started higher. God is good all the time. 20,000 miles in a year and no major problems.

The manager of the Ft.smith store is an ex stockbroker, pretty much says it all in my opinion. I have heard of people getting really good deals off ebay but I am just not that familiar with it. A friend of mine here in Muskogee bought an Truimph 2000 off ebay at a huge savings but had to go to Tennesse to pick it up.

I didn't have that problem at all......they had an 03 1800C on the floor for 10500. I went home, found the same bike up at procycle in springfield for 6999. I called Green Country back and told them that I was getting ready to drive north, and they made me a hell of a deal, and saved me some gas! I guess you just flip a coin and hope you get them on a good day. Bartlesville sucks for service and they have no accessory stock.

I went into green country and decided to buy a couple of oil filters for my bike when, the saleman rang them up there around $12 each. I told him they could keep them.
The next day I bought the same filters at a dealer in OKC for $7.
I haven't been back to Green country.
I bought a set of tires from Bartelsville once, the price was very good and they had Metz. in stock when all the other dealers only had Dunlops.

I got mine from Bartlesville 2 years ago. The drive was too far???? The drive is the best part. I gave $8400 for mine. I buy accesories from Hal at Hondaline or Ebay. Dont buy nothing from the dealer. Service is at Kinetic Playground. They're the best. I pay extra for it done right.

I shopped all around. I almost bought a Yamaha....ewww.....

I am so happy with mine

I got mine in Russellville. They do that no haggel price thing and I got a good deal on a "last year model" plus the Honda rebate. I found one other place in Florida that was $25 cheaper. The ride home would've been better from Florida, but I didn't want to wait to get there.

I don't trust anybody to service mine. I'm not a great wrench, but for under $100 dollars you can get a service manual and the tools needed to do it yourself. If I get stuck, there's plenty of help on this board and the C.R.A.P. board. 8) Plus you get that special bond when you mess with your bikes more intimate parts
