I have Aeromach's risers on my bike, I LOVE them. They have a great design to them, not just a block of metal. No problem with the stock cables, and mounting was very easy.

I got them for my 1800C and like them. Easy install (protect the tank and get a second pair of hands).

I got the 6" Pullbacks with Flanders 35 degree drag bars and Kury grips for my C at the same time. I had a dealer install everything for me, stock cables worked fine. The risers are big, heavy and solid. I love the new look and the comfort. I gained about 4" of pullback and the bars are about 5" narrower than the stock ones. Here's some pics.

RUDY, the AEROMACH risers included all hardware necessary - including the bolts you were asking about. You'll want to get a little 6" (who says that's little?! ) stalk of 1/2" conduit from the hardware store to use as a cheater bar (for the alen wrench) to tighten the new bolts.

Also get a heavy bath towl to drape over your gas tank when you take the handlebar clamp loose and lay the handlebar on the towel.

You want to hold the stock riser to keep it from spinning while taking the stock bolt out, the stock riser will scratch the face of the tripletree if the riser spins. Pop the little "caps" out of the alen/hex bolts of the top clamp, lay the handlebar out of the way, then remove the stock risers. It is really easy to do.

I have a windshield, so that came off first. Other than that, cables fit, and the rise and reach of the new riser will get the weight off your wrists and make for a more comfortable ride. I bought my C model for the drag bars and pegs so I could lean into the twisties, but the new risers help get to the twisties more comfortably. (I'm 6'4", 300#)

Add some cruise pegs and a drivers back rest and you'll be ready to tour if you want. I'll post some pictures on BibBikeRiders web site (I'm DavidS in the members gallery).

If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, let me know and I'll meet you halfway and I'll help you change them out in the parking lot somewhere.

Here's an easier way for one person. Loosen the top clamp screws first, leave them tight enough to keep the bars from swinging downward. Then loosen both of the riser bolts, remove one riser bolt then remove the 2 clamp bolts for that riser and remove the riser. Now swing the bars forward so you can attach the new riser to the clamp(speedo housing) tighten the 2 bolts enough to hole the bars. Now remove the second riser bolt but have the new riser bolt in your pocket so when the old riser bolt comes out, drop the old bolt, grab the new bolt and attach the new riser. So the bars are never really off the bike, no laying them on the tank and risking them sliding off. :D

Archer Ave! I grew up in Brighton Park, went to Kelly High on Archer & California. The last place I lived in the city was Archer Heights, 50th & Tripp. If you ride on Archer between Pulaski and Harlem early on a Sunday morning do you still see several wrecks from Saturday night's street racing? I remember seeing at least two or three cars wrapped around light poles, mailboxes, etc., on my way to the gym on Sundays.

Duncan,

Thanks for stopping by Trader Joe's so I could meet you and see your bike. The riser handlebar combo is just awesome. Changing out the bars and adding the 6 inch risers has moved up on my mod list. I really like the feel of the new bars. Your pipes look and sound great, I'm ordering them from HDL this weekend along with some other goodies

I'm glad I was able to get out for a while and stop by. This weather has been CRAP!. I got compliments on the bike from people sitting at the picnic table in front of the store. And no one mistook it for an HD. 8)

Yeah, Our Customers are very cool. I've met a lot of riders/customers over the years.

Would you have the part number for the Aeromach risers that you have. I'm checking to see if HDL carries them. I'd like to take advantage of the weekend sale.
Thanks

I ordered them over the phone with Aeromach and told them which bike I had. Their website doesn't indicate which number is for the C. Sorry.
