Hi Everyone, this is an admittedly incomplete list of typical forum users and their role in developing the average thread. See if you can find yourself on it, I bet you can!

How many brothers does it takes to plan a get together?

1 to plan the outing and to post that the get together has been planned.

14 to share similar experiences of planning get togethers and how the outing could have been planned differently.

7 to caution about the dangers of planning get togethers.

1 to move it to the technical section

2 to argue then move it to the photos section

7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about planning get togethers.

5 to flame the spell checkers

3 to correct spelling/grammar flames

6 to argue over whether it's "outing" or "outting" ... and another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "Ride"

15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "outing" is perfectly correct

19 to post that this forum is not about get togethers and to please take this discussion to a outing forum

11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all go on outings and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum

36 to debate which method of planning get togethers is superior, where to buy the best maps, what brand of maps work best for this technique and what brands are faulty

7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different plans of get togethers.

4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's

3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes outings relevant to this group

13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the outing controversy

976 to say "Thanks" without reading any of the above

296 to complain that the links to the planned outings don't work, even though the original links were posted months ago

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

13 to say "Do a Google search on get togethers before posting questions about get togethers"

1 forum leecher to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

 But of course! I have yet to see even a small group of friends plan anything that didn't involve at least half of the problems discribed. Especially if it involves riding bikes or spending money. :D Check out the Plate Laydown I did yesterday!

Hey Winterlion, now that you've got me feeling guilty for being part of the conspiracy that has hijacked this thread, I must say that I admire your obvious computer savvy. About all I can muster is to type this reply. You, on the other hand apparently are a learned individual in the arts and sciences of computer stuff, or whatever duh.... :)

Later dude...

Hey BigBlue,
I am learning a new graphics program and find it motivating to change my web graphics often, use em or lose em, so to speak. Al is working himself through one too, I hear. I spend time with that and Macromedia Flash making program, also soaking up anything I can find on Digital media editing and the like. Toss in two clans and all the forums i contribute to and you got one nerdy little biker, I'm afraid. lol.

Actually, that is a photo of me at work. I used to be a nerd model part time. Ask Al, that little guy is a dead ringer! Where did you come across that gif. It's very kewl. Is it public property or does someone have rights on it? I would love to use it at a couple of political forums I frequent. lol.

P.S. Hey Craneguy, did you know that the url in your sig is a dead link? At least it was when I tried it. Looking for a seat and saddlebags myself.

 Wow I never even checked the link, you're right I changed it so now it workes, as far as the GIF, I got it off a free site builder website. It is a corel photo house image, that is as much as I know.
