after reading this group and seeing how many of you are from long island
not to mention it must be pretty fun to ride there. i am thinking about moving - hmm unless - i dont supose any of you would rather trade all that fun riding in Long Island for the fabulous stop and go riding i do.
tell you the truth when manhattan riding is all you know its kind of fun
i guess just have to ride like this :shock: but most of the time your like this :crew:

I was actually riding all over Manhattan last weekend (see my post re: Sunday Ride, 5/16). It wasn't like 'real' Manhattan riding, though, because we had a police escort for the whole ride, and didn't have to worry about traffic lights or automobile traffic.
I used to ride in Manhattan more often many years ago.
Maybe you can catch up with some of us 'Long Islanders' for some riding soon.

You mean ride where there are, crazy pedestrians, Steel plates big enough to swallow me whole and, (gulp) yellow cabs?

Sorry Mr. G you gonna have to at least come out to the Queens/Nassau border.

Police escort? why? how many bikes showed up?.
riding in Manhattan isnt so bad when its all you know.
how fast was the police escort going?

i would love to join some of you VTX brothers for a ride.

im kind of nervous about it. lol this is my first bike and i only have 650 miles experience on it. i am dong great but not used to highway speeds.

i would actually love to take a ride out to the end of long island
but coming back always has tons of traffic. i made that trip a few times in my car. i guess i could always plan to come back 3am. i would love to take a ride upstate new york find a nice camp site wake up and go fishing.
