Confirmed 8:30 at QT at Mid Rivers and 70. Going to Golden Eagle to Alton. A stop at Fast Eddies and then a quick ride through St. Charles County back to home.

All are welcome to ride!

Why do you think I bought a VTX????

Actually I love the Victory. I was fortunate enough to get one of the first bikes (#406) and was lucky to have great dealer support close to my house in Michigan. When I moved to STL, my nearest dealer is 30 miles away. As with any prototype there are going to be glitches and issues. 95% of the time the bike is INCREDIBLE and I love to ride it. It truely handles like a sport bike with the cruiser feel. Before I rode my VTX, I didn't think the motor could be beat, and I really enjoy the handling and performance of the Vic.

Unfortunately, I have had some electrical issues. These are now corrected with the newer bikes, but the early ones had gremlins. My last tow truck trip was from Pudacha, KY to O'Fallon, MO. Needless to say, I was a bit jaded. My buddies started calling my bike "one way" and couldn't believe it wasn't a Harley.

Would I buy another Victory? Hell yes! I have more Polaris snowmobiles at my second home up north than I can count. They have great quads and PWC, and their stock price isn't to bad! I knew what I was getting when I put my deposit down 18 months before the first bike was ever built.

The biggest thing Victory needs to do is get more bikes on the road. Talk of an 800cc bike at a lower cost will increase the brand name. Fit and finsih, performance, and overall look are incredible. I haven't met a Harley guy yet who wasn't impressed with my Vic. when I smoked them. Yes the VTX is much quicker, but the Victory handles better.

If you haven't ridden one, take the trip to J&W in Washington. Tell Bob I sent you. They have been a great help to me, but just a little far for the "little things" that need to be done to the older Victory bikes.

For now, I am just going to put it away and hope it will gain in value over the years beacuse it is a numbered bike. If not, I have another toy to play with and my buddies from up north can bring their golf clubs and ride my bike.

Anyone else like to comment?

Sorry Dave,

My Charter modem crashed :x and will not be replaced until today. As a result I did not see your reply. I did take a ride on Saturday down to Washington and back Hwy T. I hope you still went on your ride and I wish I would have been able to take the ride with you. Next time.

Later,
Steve
