View Full Version : CONNECTICUT X RIDERS LOGO
Does the group have a logo yet?
We could do hats, t shirts, charter member stuff etc....
I'm not very artistic or I'd volunteer.
Are there any tattoo artists in the group? It might be cool to get a logo designed to look like a classic biker tattoo.
Just a thought. :pepper1:

I believe the Sheik and Dan are bouncing the Ideas for the logo, we talk about it in the Hubbark park meet.

I believe the Group conscience was, We Need a Patch. There were many ideas tossed around at the meeting on Saturday. If anyone has already worked up an idea please send your thoughts or post them on this site for feedback. I will be working on two of the ideas, both will have the VTX mask an X, flames (some where) and Connecticut X Riders. The differences will be, one will have a state seal (Maybe) and the other will have the shape of Connecticut.
As I am checking for a jpg. of the CT State Sheild I ran across this minor problem.
"The official arms and seal of the State of Connecticut, whether as a reproduction, imprint or facsimile, shall be made and used only under the direction and with the approval of the Secretary of State. (see disclaimers)"
I really don't want to fight this battle !! Anyone for a joust?

Have you got anything in JPG format you can send? I am still working on the CT silouhette idea. X in the middle and V-twin on top of that with Connecticut on the top and Riders on the bottom. Flames will be there somewhere.

[quote="LozTX"]Loztx,
I have to say it's pretty awsome, maybe the X behind could be a little bigger so we can see it more and the flames could be in color, nice job.
Looks great, but instead of having square backing, how about the state shape? Any thoughts?
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!
Great Work

Manny, your patch idea is outrageous...meanin I like it, and post you did before that for Jeff, I noticed the jpg was called ***pin, meaning yours as the patch and the previous as a pin...think both would go over big...JMHO. For everyone putting ideas to paper, thanks...some great ideas and alot to take in and think long term!

Much better in detail. I think if it was more center top to bottom with even bordering it would be more crisp. I would like to see how it would look with the logo on background of state shape instead of square backing. But it is real cool

Both patches look great and alot of work went into both. I don't see where I could do any better than either one. What do you say we put a pole up and vote on the designs. Let;s say the winner gets to buy all of us dinner in June. What da ya think? I do not know how to post the pole though.
Steve, just have LozTX do a seperate bulletin posting with the images titled Logo vote. Post the pictures and have members go to that bulletin and cast a vote. One vote per member

This my final version, same as last one but much cleaner and using different colors. I borrowed the CT map background from Manny's, it was much better than mine.

OK I think we have some awsome designs and it will be a hard choice but I think a vote is in order. I am going to try and figure out how to do a poll. I will use all designs and we can vote on each one. I will do a seperate poll for the pins.
I have contacted Kingcobra with the # 2 design last week to get a feel for the initial costs to have this digitized and what the cost would be per patch. I have not heard anything yet. Once we have decided on the patch design I will get three quotes and we can vote at the next meeting on the 25th as to how we want to proceed.
Again my hats off to Manny, Jeff and Jorge !!! Awsome work you guys.

The artwork is outstanding. Thanks to all the artists!
Shiek, thanks for coordinating getting this off the ground and into actual production.
I too am leaning toward #2.
Just got back from a ride to Gillette Castle, Devls Hopyard and the general surrounds. A bit cool, but still a beautiful morning for a ride.
Damn bugs are a nuisance!
Ran in Pappy's Day yesterday. Breakfast at Stash's and lots of bikes (I mean lots of bikes!) & lots of VTX's. If you have never been in a group of a couple thousand bikes, its quite the experience. Great Ride.
Looking forward to the next X event.
What great work. I like the second patch also. let me know whem they will be available.
Charlie
Sheik,
Looks like #2 is going to be the winner! :pepper1:
When you got the prices, was it for an arm or a back patch?
patch is going to be around 12x12 for the back
