Wed.-Sun. @ Marine Village Resort. 2 of us & another couple, plus Cool Ed and The BoBo. More may be along for Friday-Saturday, won't know that for sure until it happens though. Look forward to meeting you up there 8)

I have it penciled into my schedule for Friday & Saturday. Carl, I don't see Marine Village resort on the local lodging choices from the Web site?? I was thinking of snagging a room there.

But The Russ we have reservations with the Floor at Cool Ed's and The BoBo's Room For a small fee.

I doubt that rooms are available at this point anywhere close to Lake George. This is one of those you gotta reserve 6 months ago gigs. Thousands of bikes and people. If it is rainy maybe, just maybe, a room would pop open :? :?

Hey Twisted are you thinking of Sturgeon '07 since you are just up the road? 8) One more question: where do you get your bike inspected around there? My son lives in Seneca Falls and has an '80 Yamaha and needs to get his ride inspected. Got any recomendations?

Just talked to a pal of mine who's coming up there for the whole week. He has lots of friends up there, and atleast one with a hotel right on rt9.
He's suppose to call me by tomorow with info for rooms available.
Since Russ and Tross are taking my floor spot. I was looking forward to sleeping with the Bobo.

All bs aside I might make it, not sure. If wiffie comes then I need a room, which I'll know this week.
If not then it's a party here party there. My friend that's going up that's friends with one hotel owner on rt9, might have a crash spot for me at his place. Which could be a friends house or a hotel room not sure.
Atleast one guy from the club I know is going. He goes every year. With a possible few more, but nothing sure yet.
Hope to see you boys up there!

Just seen yesterday on a black Toyota pickup driven by a female. Said vehicle was bedazzled with numerous rainbow colored bumper stickers and also this interesting sticker and I quote, "The only Bush I trust is my own." I do believe that speaks for itself of lovely Ithaca.

The hard idea to believe about Ithaca is that it is home to both fairydusters and rednecks, depending on which direction you leave the city. I recently saw a bumper sticker on a 4X4 with huge tires that said:

Cats Flattened while you wait!

Hey kfc 1980 1000 X 4 suzuk 2 doors away from Our Country Hearts Restaurant. $450 or OBO. Styled like Johnnie's Yamaha. It looks as if it is as old as Cool ED... rusty and stuff you know... Just thinking of The Wendy of course. 1000 X 4 maybe too much. Check it out and see what you think.

I got a call from that 750-4 owner, he said he's owned it for 2 years, the original owner has owned the entire life of the bike before him. After only a couple of minutes of talking to him, he was willing to let it go for $500. Herbie, does this bike look like it has the worth of 5 Benjamins? I'm not going to waste my gas driving out there tomorrow unless you think it's worth looking at for that price. He says it needs a rear tire and the chain needs tightening, which stands for I'm buying a new chain anyhow. This guy had no clue how to tighten the chain, I had to explain it has a center stand and two adjuster screws on the rear axle......... anyhow, Herbie, lemme know what you think

kfc
04-13-2007, 07:06 AM
I'd say it's worth looking at, if it's like my recent aquisition, dude probably doesn't have much of a clue what he's got. Kinda hard to go wrong in that price range if it runs and goes. 'Specially if ya can ride 'er home

Herbie
04-13-2007, 07:11 AM
Looked fine to me... I didn't look real hard for dents / scratches, etc. As I said it has a king and queen seat that starts at the tank, goes up at the passenger part, then up the length of the sissy bar. I didn't notice any flaws in the seat, but again I primarily stopped to get the phone number.

I'm going to Rochester this afternoon, back this evening. I can stop tomorrow and do a better 'spection if you like. Anything that runs and goes down the road is worthy of a $500 investment in my mind. You probably intend to modify a few thinks anyway. If it runs and will pass inspection with only a new tire, I'd say it's worth a look.

Let me know if you want me to check again.

Herb

It didn't start today, not surprising if it's been sitting out in the elements, it's a cold blooded bike. I'm fairly sure he fouled the plugs trying to get it to kick over, I tried all the tricks I learned from dealing with my old one when it was temperamental, nothing worked. It's in rough shape cosmetically. Paint's really faded, it's that burnt orange Honda used in the 70's. There's rust everywhere, but I'm sure I can polish that out. He's asking a lot for $500.....told him I'd come by next week when the weather clears to see if he gets it running.

We usually arrive in Jay on Monday and then spend the week riding in the Adirondacks and over into Vermont. Generally in Lake George for one afternoon during the week. The rest of the time, we get kind of close to eat dinner, usually in Bolton Landing. The Pumpernickel and the Marketplace in Bolton are both GREAT places to eat.

As far as I know the LaFayette Inn is a go on Wednesdays for the summer. He has hired a tall, slender blonde for the outdoor beer girl, and besides that, she has a great personality

My information indicates that the LaFayette Inn will be starting on May23, but I don't know how accurate that is. If there is a change in that I will post a new thread announcing. I told the new outdoor beer girl to look for you guys, but I am tending bar on Wednesday nights at KT's Junction, on Route 80, 3 miles EAST of Tully. Food is GREAT! My personal favorite is the Junction Burger (heart attack on a roll) . The rest of the menu is good, and too extensive to list here. A $6.95 buffet is served on Wednesday, in addition to the regular menu. Prime rib is served every Saturday night. Oldies music is limited to once a month on Saturday night. May 19 is the next band night. I work Wednesday and Saturday nights. The boss doesn't put up with any 'cussin or noise. She (that's right, SHE) likes to run a nice family place. Any time you guys want to come up for a pop and some great food, you'll be more than welcome.
