GAS cap won't lock ( HELP )

Can't even get the key out so I can't ride the bike. I think the cap is shot. Has this ever happened to any one. The little locks on the inside won't even move. Any suggestions.

vtxed did you try to spray some type of lube into the lock. I assume the gas cap is off the bike. I know that they make a special lub for locks, I think it's a graphite lube, I have seen it at local hardware stores.
vtxed let us know when your parts come in, do the install and go for test ride and dinner or something. I just recieved some new parts for the silver X. Went with all clear lens, brake, turn signals and LEDs. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: LOOKS REAL COOL. Waiting for Back Off brake flasher, I believe one of the IL riders at the first 2 wheel tue. had it on his bike looked real nice.Also waiting on cruiser pegs. I think that the next MOD. to the X may be a HONDA OUTBOARD MOTOR. or ARK got to go I think we may be floating away.

It's fixed. I had to do alot of adjusting and the speedo is alittle high and I have to push super hard but it locks now. Hope fully in time the bib will settle and it gets easier.

I was gonna ask if you had put on a tank bib. It took mine about 2 weeks to settle in. I still need to press harder than I did before but nothing at all like when I first put it on.

Can you sand a little off the bottom of the dash? If it's to tight you could bend the key getting the cap off!

Is your bib under the dash? If so try moving to just the side of dash. That will stop the problem when I put my bib on I had the same problem until I moved it out from under the dash.
