All of the stockholders in Delta are not that happy.

They completely did away with the stock that we owned and issued 'new' stock to the debt holders

That really sucks

I am in the same boat. Stocks are a fancy way of gambling. Sometimes you win and some times you lose. I lost my stock but, me and 47,000 other people are hopefully part of a bright future.

Yeah, unfortunately the employees didn't actually choose to have stock either. I didn't really feel good about it when they started making our 401k matches in stock - and inflated stock at that :cry:

Oh well, they decided 11 years ago that they didn't need me on the payroll anymore so they outsorced my department. Now I still do the same job and make twice as much. Go figure. Ironically, it still makes me sad that I am no longer a Delta employee. At least I still have flight benefits.

I ended up getting three Delta guys at work when they announced 13. they ended up being fairly good guys. Glad we got them.

Buddy of mine was the Mechanics Supervisor or something over there for a looong time. Took the early retirement deal. Glad to see Delta's still hanging around. After the Ford plant closing up shop Atlanta's lookin pretty bad these days.

Glad alot of ya get to keep your jobs, for those that didn't...man that blows.
