Here are some quick pictures I took today. I have new paint and Roadhouse Dooleys. I had to wait for the sun to set. The bike is so shiny that all I got was a giant sun glare.

:? I'm confused? I see three exhaust pipes going into 2 mufflers. I have an 1800C and it has 2 exhaust pipes into one muffler. Where's that third pipe coming from? Maybe I just never looked at the R that close

The stock RetRo exhaust is only on the right side just like your C model. Here's some other views of the Dooleys. Looks like they put a cross over to the left side.

Looks good Gus... wish ya could get some bigger pics there so we could check it out better. Let us know how that left pipe works out and if your leg gets burnt or hot. Curious to see some bigger pics of the paint too....

Gus those pipes and new paint look awesome together. Nice job! Hadn't heard from you on the board lately and was hoping all was well. Will you be able to make the M&G on the 20th? I hope so. Would love to see the bike and you too.

Good luck and ride safe!

Thanks for the kind words. I didn't want to take up too much bandwidth. See if these are any better. Close-ups of the paint didn't come out too well. I wanted a more classic look.

John,

I had HK Big Straights before. I got a hot leg quite often from the upper pipe. These Doolys are smaller diameter and very low. There have been no issues. I had to put a kickstand extention on, because of the left pipe.

Bill,

I've been really busy lately. I may be scrambling for a job next year. Let me know if anything comes up. I have a shooting competition on the 20th, so I hadn't planned on making the M&G. That could change.

PhillyAnt,

You did a great job on your bike! I'm glad you kept it, and are enjoying it. I'm probably riding to Maryland tomorrow. I've been mostly heading south and west on rides lately.

Gus - Paint looks great and would love to check it out in person some time. That pearl combo probably looks much better in person than on any picture. I was concerned with the heat or getting burnt from the LEFT pipe (down by the calf or ankle). I did notice the kickstand extension.

Bill - Picking up the Valk next week in Arkansas and driving her back home the following week... and I will be towing the matching trailer behind it as well (that should be interesting).

Yup. Gotta go sometime. It's been 28 years.

Did you get out riding today?

Wow 28 years. Good for you man.

I didnt go out riding today. As beautiful as it is, if I go out every day its beautiful and ride, my house will never get clean.

Just got done the wash. Now its time for the bathroom...

Capt., If you wanted too, how much further down could you re-locate the passinger pegs?? From the picture that George supplied, it looks like maybe anywhere from 3 to 5 inchs. Thanks. Buy the way your bike is looking good. 8)

What are those passenger pegs doing on there? Do you put a passenger seat on occasionally?

CaptnGus

Thanks for the feedback!

Iron City, you have good idea and a good eye. It's about 4.5" from the passenger peg pin to the top of the exhaust pipe. How would you go about lowering the pegs?

GWY, there won't be a passenger seat on there until the day my wife is ready to ride again. I want to enjoy that new paint as long as I can. So, those pegs are there to stay.

PhillyAnt, I know what you mean! I have alot of work around the house and yard that needs doing. Decisions, decisions!
