Looks too cool - I think everyone will be in cars. 70% chance of rain every hour of the day according to the seather channel with a high just over 40. It'll be cold and wet.

We've still got extra meals available if anyone wants to join. We're leaving Crossroads on Lincolnway at 8:45 AM. We're going to St. Joe's Children's home in Torrington and going to have a lunch with the kids. We're also providing entertainment with a puppet/ventriloquism/magic show.

We had a great time. There were 24 bikers, but because of weather, only two hardy souls rode (through rain most of both ways).

It was great. The kids were really excited. They like the toys they get from Wal-Mart, but they loved that bikers would spend time with them.

The performer we had was FANTASTIC. Her puppet/ventriloquism act was VERY good. At times, it sounded like she was doing both voices at the same time (and they had very different sounds). But her illusions were unbelievable. (She says she doesn't do magic, she's an illusionist.) Anyway, one of her most astounding "tricks" was when she tore up a newspaper right in front of us. She never turned her back. She was wearing short sleves. I knew what was coming and watched the newspaper very carefully. I swear I could see ragged edges still sticking out when she had it all folded together. She just flipped it open and it was one piece (she even showed pictures while telling a story before and after and they were the same). It even had the adults amazed; as did some of her other illusions. She was VERY good.

We're doing this again in November and every year in May. All are welcome! The more bikers, the more the kids love it.
