New to the GPS *UPDATE*

Have a Nuvi 350. I am trying to find out if a problem exists.

Lately it has been having problems acquiring that SAT'S.
I have driven for a few, or many miles and it still cannot
find the SAT'S. Then other times it is instant.

I have tried restarting, moving its position, charged, charging, or
operating on the battery.
Any input is really appreciated. I believe that this is
a lot of money for a paper weight. :D

I just purchased it in December.

I spent the better part of 2 hours today trying to get this item to figure out where it was...although I knew. :lol: Where we were...

OK Bad joke.

Any how, I then spent about 30 minutes on the phone with a Garmin tech and a programmer, who were very nice and knowledgeable, and it needs to be sent in for repair. I also learned that they are starting to have problems with this unit in just the last 2-3 months. It actually dumps part of the programming, then, becomes minimally functional. They have neither figured out the cause, nor determined if any other units are having the same problems. Just thought that I would pass this on.

I have a Garmin V, if it is turned off (without batteries in it ) and transported some place other then where it was turned off. It takes forever to find the sats.

After a while it will give you a message, " was this storaged without batteries ". I answer "YES" and it finds them ( but still takes a long time )
