Yepper! 3 lanes of one way traffic, me in the far left minding my own business and totally without warning (or directional lights) an SUV decides to make a left turn onto a sidestreet from the center lane. He had to cross directly across my path to pull it off. I saw him making his move and got on my horn and brakes and he got back in his lane. Dorks :!: :!: :!:

A very good friend of mine was in that same situation last year. A teenager on the phone with friends in the car decided to pull into a gas station at the last minute and ran him into a phone pole. He wasnt as fortunate as you were. Good job on staying alert and staying alive.
I wish the general public could be a little more considerate of other people.

 Good move on your part, eagle! We must always be on top of our games!!! :x I also try to keep the high beam on as much as I can...(in the day time) I will give the high beam a rest in less congested areas. I probable run high beam 90% of the time. The low beam just does'nt project upwards and out infront far enough!!!! Ride safe and pray these in-a-hurry cagers start paying better attention???? I've gone to using my high beams during the day too recently. People just were not seeing me/paying attention. It might help some, I don't know how much though. But if it saves me that one time it will be worth it.

Sadly, the only way they are going to start paying attention is if they are severly penalized when they kill a biker. From what I have seen, ain't going to happen anytime soon.
When you can cut off and kill a biker and only get charged with making an improper lane change, where's the incentive?
IMNSHO, The only way this is going to change is to take the next cell phone talking, makeup applying, book reading cager that kills a biker and charge and convict them of homicide and throw them away for life.
THEN they might start paying attention......maybe....
(Glad YOU were aware enough to avoid it. That's how WE have to be cause they sure won't)

I was coming thru bellevue on 405 around 800 last night the road was pretty much wide open very little traffic i saw this van coming off 90. I was in the middle lane and he decides to switch lanes only i am beside him i sat down on the horn and locked up the brakes. He got back into his lane and i just shook my head, and passed him. He never did even get close to me again after that

I put a Sylvania Silverstar bulb in my 1300s, it’s still a 55W/60W, but, from what I’m told it has some sort of gas in the bulb, therefore it burns a little brighter and whiter than others . . . . I tried it and liked it

I picked up a PIAA bulb from HDL on their sale last Christmas or T-giving - can't remember when the sale was... That PIAA bulb is bright & worth all $40 that I spent on it.

Plugs right in with no mods - Jon helped me get mine installed & do wear latex or similar gloves - you don't want any oils from your hands getting on the bulb. There's a copper colored retaining pin that holds the bulb in place. Once you have the headlamb assy off, simply squeeze to release the pin, rock it out of place, take the old bulb out, new one in & put the pin retainer back in.
Here on HDL through the 1300"C" page (didn't show up on the 1300R/S for some reason): http://www.hondadirectlineusa.com/stores/product.asp?pid=6077&str=12&ID=712395453
Here's a link to the bulb from the PIAA shopping web-site: http://www.shopatron.com/product/product_id=PIA70456/353.0
And a link to bulb fitment on the PIAA site: http://www.piaa.com/Powersports/piaa-powersports/applications.php
Says it's 60/55W = 110/100W.

Hmmmm, I can't imagine the C headlight bucket is much different than the S . . . . looking at the bulb from the link you gave me it looks just like the stock 3 prong set-up.
THANKS ! !
