DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of three soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died June 10 in Karbala, Iraq, of wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device.
Killed were:
Cpl. Llythaniele Fender, 21, of Medical Lake, Wash. He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Fort Lewis, Wash.
Cpl. Meresebang Ngiraked, 21, of Koror, Republic of Palau. He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Fort Lewis, Wash.
Spc. Adam G. Herold, 23, of Omaha, Neb. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska.

Cpl. Llythaniele Fender will be arriving at the Sioux City Gateway airport June 19th. Arrival time is 9:48 am
Staging for this escort will be at the Truck Haven Truck Stop in Sioux City at 8:30 am. This is right off exit 143 of I-29. There is a motel on the property and we have been invited to use that part of their lot in the front of the motel for staging for this mission.
Briefing will be at 9 am and KSU at 9:15. This will provide ample time to get to the airport and get set up.
At this time we do not know exactly what gate he will be arriving at.
This will be covered at the briefing as we will know by then.
We will escort Cpl. Fender to the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa, Ia.
Due to road construction on I-29 south bound we will be taking Hwy 75/K45 which goes directly to Onawa.
The funeral home is on 9th and Pearl Street. Hwy 75/K45 becomes 10th street in Onawa.
Funeral will be on Thursday, June 21st at 1pm. at the West Monona High School in Onawa.
Staging information will for the funeral mission will be posted later tonight.
Mike Luken (Moonshot_1) is the RC in charge for this mission.
