Hi Everybody! I just got a 2003 VTX 1800C, and am in the process of changing up a few things. My question is, do I go with Vance & Hines Big Shots or something from Cobra. I have been told the V&H will give better performance, but i am NOT a gear head at all, so any suggestions would be great. Thanks, and good riding!
The V&H pipes are better in every way other than the price
Welcome to the madness!
i love my v and h, but with all honesty if i was in the market for a set these are damnear duplicates, try to get a set that go infront of the clutch cover, this helps evening out the lenght of pipe between front head and back, ood price check on shipping costs, offer him 300 you pay shipping

thanks.................... I do love the sound of v&h. i was able to get a really good price on them, and am leaning that way. I can't wait to post a pic next week when I'm done putting new parts on it. I really appreciate all the info.

V&H it is!!!!!!!!!! I'm having them put on on 6/26!!!!!! Can't wait to hear em!!! 2003 VTX C mustang seats, cobra front and rear boards, kury sissy bar, custom leather bags, honda windshield, kury iso grips with tips (or nips!!!), just about every other chrome piece I can find on the net. (of course, always looking for more!!!)

The V&H are nice too, just a different sound! Make sure you get the Thunder Monster baffles.

Ditto on the thunder monsters. Unless, of course, you prefer to go baffle-less. (I did that for almost three years and they are looooooud)

What would you guys recomend for the 03 1300 R/S? I'm looking for something a little deeper and throatier but not excessively loud.

Xpodell has a Roadhouse slipon. It is deep and throaty... nice rumble, but not obnoxious like some. just ask some here that have heard his bikes. 8)

If you ask the pros about exhaust, you'll find the C model header pipe is tuned well for the VTX motor.
after that it's only a question as to how much noise you want to make.

Very happy with the V&H pipes!!!!!!!!!! I picked up the bike yesterday, and it was perfect. I can tell the bike has a lot more kick and it sounds awesome. Thanks everybody for the feedback!
