I just transferred my insurance from my Harley Sportster, which I sold, and put it on my new 2003 1300VTX. I was surprised at how much more it was, almost $100 per year. I will be shopping around for prices. Anybody have any suggestions?

If your bike is red it will go up insurance companies do not like red for some reason, and if you have full coverage on it that will also make it go up,, check with progressive or AIG auto or try going through Honda themselves the red rider club, you get dicounts from them, www.hondamotorcycleinsurance.com, see what you can get from them.

I was with Dairy Land adn went to www.bike-line.com (http://www.bike-line.com) and lowered my rates from 611.00 a year to 481.00 with more coverage. When I up the passenger coverage it will go to 492.00. You can do an online quote there as well.
