Saw them a year or two ago in La Grange Park, with my bro and some friends. Honestly, I hope it's a better show than we saw. The rocked out fairly well on "Vehicle" but the rest was Zzzzzzzzz. Hope it's a good time though. Lemme know how it was.
Pretty sure I saw a show in Bensenville once though. Maybe it was Little Feat? Not a bad little downtown for a show.

If you ever get a chance to see Rare Earth at one of these little town venues, go for it. Saw them at some bike rally at Maryville Academy and man oh man... I think they rocked harder and faster than they ever have before! Better than I remember them 15 yrs earlier. Age has not effected their playing. I was blown away.
