Bike event in Chelsea???

Chelsea Summer fest is this weekend. For the past 2 yrs. there have been various MC activities-- with 500 or so bikes in town. Does anyone know if this is true of this years Chelsea fest.?

Chelsea is about 60 miles west of Detroit on I94 at M52.

Past 2yrs. they have had various bike contests, scattered thru out town-- usually at restaurant, or Bar parking lot. Contests are informal-- entry fee like $10. Contests: Best paint job;rat bike; Classical;Best sounding pipes etc. Abate also has a mapped out ride thru the surrounding country side--Nice ride. Other things are going around town -Crafts sales, classical cars, music. Bunch of other stuff I can't recall at the moment.

Update: I was in Chelsea Sat. Apparently it is no longer a MC event. Just classic cars, sidewalk sales etc. Abate did have a ride there, but that was about it for MC activites. Apparently, Chelsea has decided not to have the MC's be a part of their Fest. :( Don't know why.

I rode to Chelsea on Saturday and spent a couple of hours there in the early afternoon. There were about 25 bikes parked at the local Ford dealer, and maybe a dozen parked downtown. A couple blocks south of town a band was playing. They were pretty good. They played mostly old rock & roll. It was hot and muggy, with a lot of people trying to share the sidewalk. I'm glad I went, but if you couldn't make it don't feel like you missed out on that much. Take care and ride safely.

I was there Sunday and saw 20 Bikes parked and probably 40 go thru town. Eat at the Common Grill - Excellent food (expensive, but excellent)!
Chelsea is a great riding detination, great roads and Hell is not far away!

There was something going on at MIS Speedway on Sunday, alot of bikes where headed there.
