For the record it happened on 7/30/07. It was, as far as we know, the first ever organized ride for VTX riders in Cent WI. Djaecks and I took our wives on a nice ride the the Eau Claire Dells. It was a small group 4 of us but we are determined to get more VTXers involved. We are looking for ways to grow and meet more VTXers in Central WIs. Anybody with past experience on organizing and finding fellow riders. You guys in Southern Wi. seem to have it going. We would like to get something like that here. Any advise.

Im sure if you set some kind of run up and give plenty of advanced notice, some folks might come out.

Get cards made up, and every time you see an X put one on it. I give cards out at the Honda dealer, and put one on every X I see. Wave to every bike you see, no matter what the bike or rider. I am to the point now were I wave, and dont even look to see if they did, I just do it.

have a link to this board on your cards, so they can find you here.

I was at the Dells of Eau Claire on Sunday, 7/29! Did the Boys & Girls Club ride. Come from Madison with 7 other bikes. I wasn't on the X, it was the Triumph's turn to get out.

Some nice freshly paved roads up there! Glad you had a good day, I was at work on the 30th.

Post The Ride And They Will Come, post ahead of the run give everyone plenty of time to check or change their scheduals as many people such as me have a screwed up work schedual. the VTX group is so diversified, some one is always looking for a ride even if its a quicky only a hundred or so miles its so great to meet new riders I just wish my brain would remember all of the names that go with the faces    ride safe------------ace

I also carry vtxoa.com cards- every time I see a VTX out on the road, I give them a card. I've even put the car in park and ran one up to a bike at a stoplight.

AND- if you organize some sort of ride, post it up on the board with a departure time and place (address included for the mapquest/gps users)- You never know who may show- everyone's schedule is nuts, but sometimes, it just fits- I love long trips (from me to Mosinee it's just over 3 hours one way- a 7am start wouldn't work too well, lol.

Let's say you put up a ride in your neck of the woods that everyone hooks up for lunch at such-and-such place, then ride for the afternoon. Some may stay in the area for the night, some may cruise home with a good ride under their belts.

Either way, if you don't post it up, no one will know. I went to school for awhile in Stevens Point, and really like the area up there- a guided tour would be excellent!!
