Good to hear from you. It is pretty common for tires to wear on one side i had the same problem with my last tire but mine wore the rt. side. I guess it depends which side of the hump you ride on. Ride safe. Ken

I had the same thing happen to me with the tires that came with My X when I bought the 2nd pair the guy who put them on said ride to the left of the road instead of over to the right plus he told me the org. tires always wear faster. if you do a search on the main site you'll see it's a big issue. this second pair seems to be lasting longer.

My original dunlops lasted up to around 8000 miles. The front was worn more on the left. I replaced them with Avon Venom R's and have almost 8000 on them with plenty of tread left. These tires came recommended from others on the board. Ridin a 2004 (bought new in 04) with 14,500 miles livin in the free state of McDowell Co.

Just replaced tires on BOTH my 1800's. One had 6,300 miles and totally shot OEM Dunflops, other had 8,600 still tread. Go figure! Replaced with Metzler 880's went to 200's on rear of both 1800's. My 1300 has 7,000 on the OEM Dunflops, looks to go another 3,000 or more front & rear. But....the wear issue. All 3 of mine wear to the left. I was told the same, due to road crown. BULL. Follow a VTX on a straight flat road. You'll see the bike, for whatever reason, lays to the left off center. That is why the left side wear. Plus, most of my riding is group, I end up on one side of the road as much as the other. Down here, (Florida) all the VTX riders I've talked to have wear issues on the left of center. I'm not aware of a right side of center wear problem. You'd think the wear WOULD be n the right side ith those 500 pound gumthrob factory mufflers! Thanks for the visit fellas!! Throttle down.....

The Dunflops are real sensitive to air pressure. The book is wrong according to the Dunflop engineers. They say to run 41 front and rear. If you don't they will cup. I liked Dunlops on my sport bikes, but my VTX will never see another set. :?

Heard that Bikelover, no more Dunflops for me on the street either. My Wing also has Dunflops, when that baby needs new shoes, or my other little X, it'll NOT be more of those. Ya'll have a goodun up your way
