You know guys, I've taken mine in for each of the first two services. And I feel about the only thing they did was change the oil! I don't even believe the oil filter was changed! I KNOW!, and beleive me, I will be more attentive to such details such as MARKING MY OIL FILETER, just to make sure it's not the same one!

I know for a fact they did not even put air in the tires! Does that just suck or what!

I KNOW, I KNOW, when they start doing the valve work, it's worth it!
that doesn't excuse what they are not doing!
Next time, I'm going to take out the coolant, just to see if they fill it up!

You know, the first time in, I asked if I could stand in there and watch them. And they through the "ol proverbial" due to safty regs, you can from outside the garage!

Don't you guys feel, we should be able to watch whats happening to the bikes? Even if they had a video system. That's not too far fetched, is it?

GUYS, I'M KINDA BUMMED ABOUT THIS!

I had valve work done on my 1300 at Purcells...they never did it, the management wouldn't even talk to me; I ended up doing the service myself from then on out.

Stay away from PURCELLS....!

Well Russ, I have the gold Card and I just had my bike in for the 4k and change the oil to AMSOIL (It only cost me $21.40 to have that oil put in) and I sure hope they changed the filter. I did see the guy at the counter get 4 qtrs of oil and a filter but thats not saying that they put either one in the bike. I haven't checked the tires yet but will. I know for sure when it comes for the 8k I will be at that door watching to make sure they are doing the valve job. So right now I am giving them the benfit that they are doing the job they should be doing.

JUST CHECKED THE TIRES AND THE ARE 30LBS IN BOTH. So I will have to add alittle air to them.

didn't go with the gold card it is just a gimmick.
got extended warranty and a shop service manual.
did my 600 mile check up at Jax Honda cause Purcell's is a boat store
that just happens to sell bikes.

the 600 was manditory with my purchase, once logged,
i do my own work, if something i can not handle............the search will be to find a good shop.

personally i just use this site for all the info one needs here ! that way you know its right and if you cant handle it there is always someone here to help ! this is truly a great site just go to the tech boards and the info is here ! its truly the best gold card there is for a vtx imo :wink:

After talking to X employees from HOJ I will never deal with them. And I travel to St Augustine a lot. I do all my work myself.
