Does anybody know where Jon is lately? I haven't seen him post in over a week and would like him to do some work for me. Have any of you had him do a valve job for you?

Thanks!

Vacation. See the post below. I think he should be back tomorow or the next day.

No problem. I think I might need his help soon as well. I have a weird thump thump in first under power when the bike is cold that I am worried about. We need the guru back.

He was on the Stenis coming back from HI with 2 of his boys. Imagine he will post some braggin' photos soon. Don't blame him a bit- actually waiting for them!

He is on vacation.... cruising on an aircraft carrier to Bremerton. (Lucky guy!)

I believe he will be back "online" after the Labor Day weekend.

Jon - thinking about you have go through my Shadow Spirit 1100 like the guys have told me you did with the VTXs. Do I need to leave my bike with you or can I just make an appointment and do it? I'm coming up on 6500 miles in the past 7 weeks and am thinking that it might be a good thing to go through the whole oil, final drive, spark plug thing soon. Are you going on the Winthrop ride? or the North Bend ride tomorrow?
What do you think about re-jetting the stock shadow carbs? I'm getting 50+ MPG at the moment and I can pretty much keep up with any of you guys on the acceleration, cornering. You ever do a MSD system on a bike? I'm really interested in anything that will improve performance and economy at the same time. Most people seem to think they're mutually exclusive, but I've built enough engines to know that's not the case at all. I'd love to pick up 5-10 HP and get an additional 2-3 MPG at the same time.
Let's talk.
