Gooday Wyo fans,
New VTXer here. Had my bike about two months now and finally decided to quit lurking around and make myself known. I’m new to cruisers but have a history of sport bikes. (My wife’s idea, and she gets what she wants) She wanted to start riding and got a little Rebel so I traded in my Concours and became the proud owner of this very cool bike. I must say, I really like this bike. It may not corner or get up to speed like I’m used to but it’s comfortable and classy. I’ve already scraped the boards so many times it’s not funny. Must remember not to lean so hard on the curves and corners. Oh… heheh… it’s a 1300R, black, stock everything. I got it and the Rebel new from Casper Mountain Motorsports. Decent people. I’ve already ordered a few things for it and plan on getting a few more. So that’s about it. Just wanted to say, “Hello.”

Welcome to the board. I'm in Casper and pretty heavily involved with the motorcycle community around here. I'll be sure to post upcomiong events and such in case you are interested. I ride a VTX1300C but also have owned sport bikes and sport touring my latest being a 2003 ST1300. If you want to meet up and ride sometime drop me a PM, if you want to get information of upcoming events and such please let me know and I'll keep you informed.

I am a MSF Ridercoach, ABATE member, VP of the local chapter of the CMA as well as a general motorcycle guy who rides a lot :)

See you around,
George

Welcome to the wonderful world of the VTX. If you weren't coming off the concurs, you'd think the X was almost a sport bike. But to you it probably is sluggish. You've made a wise choice though.

I'm from Cheyenne and my family owns 4 VTXs.

As they say, admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

Maybe Rock Springs, likely Fremont Lake Campground in Pinedale on the fourth of July weekend.

I will post exactly when I get a bit closer.

4th of July weekend, good time to be in this area, especially down around the Denver area for the Colorado VTX Ride-In. Ya want to meet Xers from all over the country, that is the place to be. I think this years dates are the 4th thru the 7th of July, 2008.
