I had a blast! She did real good, it was a long day and we logged @150 miles so I was proud of her. Good thing about the trip was we ate enough Love bugs so we didnt have to stop and eat a snack...;)

It's not actually 'out in the middle of nowhere'. We wanted to be very near to I-95, for "passing through" traffic (You would be amazed at how many bikes you see on there before/after Bike Week in Daytona, in the summer, etc). We didn't want to be in Savannah, because of crime and traffic. We like the "small town" feel of Richmond Hill (we live about 20 miles away in Rincon). Richmond Hill is a very friendly entrepreneur zone (Rincon is not....:() W also want to be a good location for Poker runs. Not so far out of town, but a decent ride interval. We also wanted to be on the land side of Savannah, to be convenient for most people to get to from other towns. And, as you know, bikers will ride to get what they want, a modest distance....;) It's a very good area to get to, not a big retail commercial zone, so the cager and 'idiot' factor is minimized. We actually looked for about 2 months to find the "perfect" location. We didn't want to be in a shopping center, because we don't need a lot of walk through traffic (don't need no stinkin' "wannabe's" coming in all the time to browse and try on the leathers, to waste the sales people's time and putting wear and tear on the new merchandise. )

I was very happy the other day. My son and I were in downtown Savannah, I was window shopping. Saw some hot pink flamingo Van tennis shoes in the window. I went inside to inquire about them (imagine that....8)). They are men's shoes!!! They had them up to a men's size 13!!! (Marty's been working on our son too much. He wouldn't try a pair on....)

Bardo, I think we are all getting at that age or soon will be. Making it to those golden years just isn't enjoyable at all cause everything just starts to fall apart. Trixie you need to help Marty find them reading glasses because I know how it is not to be able to see to good close-up, for awhile there I knew something just wasn't right when I would sit down to read or write something and everything up close would be a little fuzzy. Hell, I thought it was an extended hangover or something :? :lol: but as time went on I knew I had to go get them eyes checked so I too like Marty need those reading glasses. Now if you haven't found them by the time Marty gets ready to put me under I'll help you look for them. :wink:
