I live in the Palm Coast / Daytona area. Do Vtx riders or clubs get together at all for rides in that area. I would like to ride with some vtx riders. I ride all the time and am not afraid to travel.

Here's the post from SCRC:

This will be another short ride. Big Man and myself completed a pre-ride and this is what I have come up with:

Meet at the same old 7/11 on Hancock and Hwy 50
Meet: 9:30
Safety Meeting: 9:50
KSU: 10:00am

we will head down Hwy 33 South to Lakeland, eat lunch at Applebee's
head back up Hwy 33 to hwy 274. we will head East on Hwy 274 to Hwy 27. South on Hwy 27 to Hwy 192. Hwy 192 to Hwy 545 (I think this is the right name) Hwy 545 North to Marsh Road to Hancock and then we are home. I am guessing about 120 miles round trip or so.

See everyone Saturday morning.

Sorry, But we have a little change in plans for Saturday!!!

As many of you already know we lost a good friend this week from the Central chapter. Larry was a long time member of that chapter and was a really great guy. His death was a shock to everyone. He will be missed.

Funeral services for Larry Cole will be Saturday, June 19th at 3:30 at the Markham Woods Seventh Day Adventist Church, 505 Markham Woods Road, Longwood, FL 32750. The phone number to the church is 407-862-7578.

So, what we thought that we would do is keep our ride as planned for Saturday morning to Lakeland but move the meeting time up a little to allow us to also include an afternoon ride over to Larry's funeral service.

SCRC members from chapters across the state will be meeting at Mobile On The Run at 434 and I-4 at 2:30, we will be leaving promptly at 3 pm. This will be a memorial ride for Larry and his bike will be leading the procession!

A "BIG" turn out from all the chapters to show our support for Marge Larry's wife who is also a member and her family would be greatly appreciated. Larry was a core member of our chapter and he will be missed by all.
So, we are going to do this as (2) separate rides or (1) for everyone who wants to do both rides on Saturday.

Lakeland Ride: Meet at the same old 7/11 on Hancock and Hwy 50
Meet: 9:00
Safety Meeting: 9:15
KSU: 9:30am

We will head down Hwy 33 South to Lakeland, eat lunch at Applebee's
then head back up Hwy 33 to meet back at the 7/11 for the funeral service ride.

Funeral Service Ride: Meet back at the 7/11 Meet: 1:30 PM KSU: 1:45 PM

To ride over to meet up with everyone at the Mobile on the Run at 2:45 PM and then out at 3:00 PM for the procession over to the service.

The ride to the service is come in your SCRC/Riding wear. The last service we had we filled the church with SCRC members. Remember everyone this club is like one big family so A "BIG" turn out from our chapter to show our support would be greatly appreciated!!
