Yesterday was the first in a weather break. I called my cousin and told him to meet me at Loves leathers. We hooked up pulled out on the street went 200 yards up the hill and a cager pulled out in front of Rick saw us and stopped in our lane. Rick locked em up and plowed into the car.
Front fender first, bike turned and the whole bike went sideways into the side of the WRX. I watched it all in slow motion it was weird.
Driver tried to say it was our fault as we hadn't turned our signals off. Rick explained that his HDL Street Glide new 2006 automaticley turns off. The cager then started to back peddle and calmed down. Rick got pretty upset.
The good thing is Rick is OK.
Damage is Back Hard case bag. muffler, "front fender took a beeting" both driver and passenger floor boards on right side. fairing plexi glass wind sheild. Not sure what else at this point.
Remember it only takes a second !!!!

Sorry to hear about your cousin. Glad he wasn't hurt worse. I just hate it when people lie!! Besides it doesn't matter if a blinker was on it would still be the cagers fault. One of the things I remember from drivers ed was to wait and make sure they were actually turning just in case they forgot to turn off the blinker.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad the results weren't as tragic as they could have been. I hope everyone is okay and that everything gets taken care of properly.

Glad he is OK.
I sure wish Honda would put self cancel turn signals on our bikes.I bet there have been accidents where pople have pulled out because they have been left on.
