Used to ride an 03 VTX 1800R over in MS until I forgot to respect the machine. I spent 15 days in the MED in Memphis and another 6 months before I could walk. Either I'm a fool or hopelessly hooked on two wheels but I'm in Lincoln now and looking to pick up another bike.
As you might expect, there are a variety of dealerships in the area. Any one have a take on who will have the best deal? I know there are probably a number of guys looking to unload their bikes but I need to finance.

Rods or Star City. Also you could call down to Garber's in Fairbury. not a big shop down there but a good small town price. talk to Llyod Garber his number is 729-2294. good luck, and welcome to NE, Dale.

I agree I have bought all of my fourwheelers, dirt bikes, and my 1300C from Garber's over the years. I have always had good luck and got great prices from them.

I bought mine down at Star City. After looking at bikes from all the dealers here in Omaha, I found them to be the best. When I go to buy another bike, I'm definitly going to them first. They earned my business. Haven't heard of Garbers and never went to Rod's so I can't really speak much on them, but looks like they're the same way. Glad you want to get back on 2 wheels, even after what sounds like a bad accident. Keep the rubber side down,
~Dick

Appreciate the 411. Yup, I'm a Molly Hatchet kind of guy after that crash. You know, both Flirtin With Disaster and more importantly, Beatin the Odds.
I'll be in touch once I'm back up on two.

Hey my VTX brothers in Nebraska you need to watch the Hokiehi guy I can tell you hours upon hours of stories about this guy, him and I only logged a few 100,000 hours together on bikes. and about that many miles I would guess. One good thing, I now have an excuse to come up there for a visit on the VTX.

I still am considered a parttimer at Star City even though I don't have time to get in. But, if you go, mention me "Heavy" and talk with Darren Gunn. He's the man, and he'll do what he can for you.

hokiehi welcome to the Lincoln area and that after a major accident your want to get back in the saddle again. On the stealers; Star City have some used 1800’s, but new for some reason they seem to only carry 1300’s, Rods carry both new and used. Both are worth the look see. Toxic is the man that buy’s by internet for the good deals.
