Hi all,
Trying to get a ride together for the Kinzua Dam area (Warren P.A.) on July 10th and 11th. The plan would be to take out early Saturday morning and return home Sunday late afternoon. I'd like an idea of anyone who might want to go so I can get a firm price on rooms and availability. The Penn Kane hotel offers rooms, dinning and spirits and is located 15 miles from the dam and some very scenic riding.
From the Cleveland area it's about a 4-5 hour ride to Warren P.A. with most of the ride on Rt. 6 being very scenic as well. Places to meet at and leave from can be discussed, also anyone wanting to be picked up along the way out Rt. 90 can be set up as well.
A quick overview:
Would be to depart rally point by 8:00 am on Saturday and route to Warren (approx 4 - 5 hours) reach hotel for check-in and lunch. Tour ride (Kinzua Dam area) at 4 pm, ride should last 3 hours with stops and pic sessions. Make sure to bring a camera, this is some beautiful area. We can arrange the dining as a group or feel free to head off to somewhere else if you like, all I need is a head count if the group thing is preferred.
Sunday would include a tour ride to Cooks Forest and a lunch stop, and should take up most of the day before having to return home. The plan would be to return to the area (Home) by 7 pm on Sunday, giving all riders enough time to return home and kick back a bit, so we'd leave Warren area by 2 pm.
Please let me know as soon as possible if your interested in something like this.
