I would imagine there will be a long line of bikes at the funeral depending on what day it is.
What a character he was. It was fun to listen to the stories he had to tell.
He will be missed for sure.

I attended my last three years of high school in Marquette. Stan the Man was the terror of the open class scrambles in those days and was one of the nicest fellows you could ever meet. He didn't care what kind of bike we kids rode and was always willing to help/show us how to work on them. Even though he raced a Harley he knew a lot about British and Japanese motorcycles.
He once loaned me a set of leathers and a steel plate for my left foot when Mark Kumle (my ole buddy) let me ride his race bike after having an accident chasing jackrabbits. That was pretty funny, Mark set me up with the bike and Stan got me equipped for my very first open class scamble race.
It's hard to imagine Marquette without Stan but I think his influence will always felt. He touched many lives, including mine. Man I hate to see him go.

Stan was my neighbor for 8 yrs till we moved. I remember during
one backyard conversation he mentioned how he used to race a
little. A few weeks later I stopped in his repair shop to BS and
inside along the walls, from the floor to the ceiling were his hundreds of
trophy's from when he 'used to race a little.'
Stan was a class act.
