I am personally done with this organization. The tasteless, degrading and offensive opinion they have of my occupation is inexcusable.

Arkansas VIII has unanimously voted to disband. Correctional Workers/Officer, Police, etc. the whole group voted unanimously.

Blue head Quarters also give a hard time to part time and reserve officers which donate 1000's of hours of thier time to protect and put thier lifes in danger. A part time officer can be in the blue knights pay dues but can not hold an office

Hello guys and girls... Please don't assume that all is finished with this issue. Things are in the works... letters have been sent and people contacted in high places. As I am told, and you can check the Blue Knights International By-Laws... There are only a few offices that an Associate Member (one who works a minimum of 8 hours per month but less than 32 hours per week with Arrest Powers) can NOT hold in the Blue Knights. These are the Conference Chairperson, President and Vice President positions through out the organization. ALL other Offices are open to them. So if you work a minimum of 96 hours per year (8 hours per month) with arrest powers, then yes there are offices that you can hold in your local chapter.
If you work 32 hours or more per week, with arrest powers, then you qualify for full membership status. Please don't allow false or incomplete information to be spread around as it only gums up the information highway and causes all kinds of SNAFU's. I, for one, HATE gum on the highway :roll:
