Macca I heard that using the 8 deg triple trees and the the fork extentions can give you a little front end wobble at high speeds,
(the guy couldn't tell me at what speed) I can't really work out why they would, do you get any of those problems.
I would like to see some more shots of your bike especially around the mods.

I didnt have my trees on for more than 3 weeks before i had my crash but with a 21" front wheel,8 degree trees and 2" fork extensions all i can say is that at 170km/hr i didnt get any speed wobble at all.
I heard the same thing you did about the speed wobble, but i also spoke to people who made the trees and they assured me that if you tighten the trees to 65LBS and not to the specifications then you wont get the wobble.
With the trees on and the 21" front wheel i noticed that the front wheel was lighterand not heavy like in stock form. I had my shop install the trees and they took 2 hrs to do them and told them that i wanted the front torqued to 65LBS and not to the specs.
I have a heap of pics during the bike transformation, so what i will post is some of the mock up pics and the new swingarm, new front wheel and fender.
I am now thinking of a set of apes and a new undertaker rear fender which will hug the tyre more and sit the fender closer to the road , the bottm pic is the look i am going for now i think

Since you didn't get any wobble at 170km I would say thats that myth busted.
Thanks for posting the mod pics, I don't know how the other guys feel but I can't get enough of them.
I'm not sure what I want to do with the front wheel, I would like to keep the bike looking low I think. Do I have to go for a 21" wheel to keep the bike level with a 240/250 kit fitted and the 11" shocks.
I thought I would get the fat kit and the new trees but leave the front wheel stock. do you see any issues doing that?
The new rear fender your looking at gives the bike a completey different look that should turn a few heads.

No you dont have to go with the 21" front wheel for the 3 and 6 degree trees, but if you go for the 8 degree trees then you have to go for the 21" front wheel.
Personally i think the bike looks better with the 21" front wheel
the bike will stay level with the 240/250 kit and 11" shocks
When i installed the 21" front wheel and 11" shocks it lowered the bike a bit, cause now i am scrapping the bottom of the exhaust where as before iwasnt with the standard shocks.

How much extra from the frame did the 8 deg trees put your front wheel from standard.

it pushed the front tyre out about 6 inches from axel point to axel point
the pic below shows the difference, the 1st is stock and the 2nd is 8 degree trees

Did you have to get new risers when you installed the 8 degree tress for the handle bars to clear the tank?
I don't know but i was guessing that the new trees woud angle the bars further back.
I checked the stock clearance and there ain't much.

Damn I knew i left something out.......
Yes you have to get new risers as you cant use the origanal one cause they will make the speedo hit the tank.
My PCIII is coming next week so that will go on the bike when it is fixed then comes a dyno test.
The PCIII cost me $316 US shipped to my door

Hey Frank if you go with the Sumo tubular swingarm it comes with the chrome tip on it as it cover the axel bolt.
And the is nothing wrong with the Ballistics, but there are so many options out there.
Stump will help you with all of this

Macca your bike has to be one of the nicest I've seen in here in Oz. I hope to do some similar things to what you've done, but slowly slowly or wifey will choppy choppy.
Love the pics and all the advice and tips your putting up. Keep up the good work mate. :D

Ditto Lordoss.......
Macca did you get the curved struts and what rear fender did you go for.
Oh and if you come across any more pics post them please.
Even if you did in another thread, I think having this Maccas mods thread with all your mods is really great.
And I'm pretty sure it will be a gold mine for guy's to come back to when they wanna do stuff on their bike.
Do you have any pics of the forward control extention?

Macca, What is the mod you have used on the forward controlls
The Mod I did was make an extension bracket so it pushed my controls forward 5" and 1.5" up.
I made a template if you want it, i can send it to you if you like.
you will need to get longer bolts and move the brake line forward to reach the brake cylinder on the controls.
But now i am getting a set of Supreme Legend forward controls, i was quoted about $1400 Aus but i got them from the states from Stumpy for $750 US
I will post pics up later of the Mod and the new Controls
