does the 1800 come with a tool kit? if so where would it be? also how do you remove the side covers and seat?

At the top of this page, there is a red box that says "sponsored by Honda Direct Line". Click on it, scroll down and click on the box that says OEM parts or somethng similar. In there, you can pull up diagrams of every part of the bike that can be zoomed in or out. Find the seat and look at that picture. It'll be easier than someone describing where the bolts are. But, there are two of them holding the seat on, One on each side towards the back of the seat. That OEM site will also show you side covers tool bag etc. Check it out.

Honda Direct Line sponsors this site and are great people to deal with. I always look there first for anything I need for the VTX.
