Hi just thought I'd introduce myself and say HI. Soon to pick up my 03 Vtx at the end of the week, I really couldn't pass up the 03 closeout deal! 1800C orange. What a great color! Been in the market for about a year, up in the air whether I even wanted a cruiser or not (leaning towards an Aprilia actually). But after seeing the VTX in person there was no question in my mind. I've been checking out these boards for a few weeks and after all the great things people say and obvious loyalty to VTXs I thought I'd be the perfect bike for me.

Also thought I'd like to try to meet up with some of you guys who go to the Valley View Bike Night at the Quaker Steak. Maybe get some pointers, check out what others have done, that sort of thing...oh and drink a few beers. 8) Do you park in a certain area?

Have a good one!
Tom

Welcom TomVH!

Congrats on the new ride and I'm sure your gonna love it. You'll definitly have to bring it up and let us check it out. We hit the Lube every Wednesday and the parking thing is hit and miss but we do meet right in front of the main entrance this way we all know where to look. We generally hang out right there until we leave and we'll look forward to meeting you. If you visit our Ohio-X Riders site and look under a thread about Sheffield Steak and Lube you'll see what we look like (scarry huh?) usually we get there around 7 and stay around until ?? but tomorrow I'll be a bit late do to previous planes but I will be there.

Here's the link to our site, sign up and come ride with us. We usually go every Sunday and sometimes during the week as well.

Look forward to meeting you..

Thanks BigV - well I went last night and all I can say is WOW was it packed. Good weather and all. I think I heard them say there were over 4300 bikes there, and some really really nice vintage ones. I saw some great looking X's, one was an orange retro with what looked like Baron's xtreme bars - I would have loved to sit on that to test the reach on those things.

Well sorry I missed you guys but there were just too many people there...maybe next week. Let me post a pic in the next couple of days so if you see some clueless dude wandering around studying X's you'll know it's me :)

Thanks
Tom

Sorry I missed you there, I was parked right in front of the gas pumps and didn't leave until after 10. The place was packed!

Way to go! Cleveland Heights VTX 1300 C (orange) rider here. I purchased my bike back in February and love it. Everyone that sees the bike, loves the color and in the evening, just before sunset when the sun is orange, the bike really stands out. You will love it.

Iron - I got the exact same color bike - here's a few shots of it around 8:30 pm for anyone interested in evening pics. I can't believe how amazing the color is...and it sure draws the stares!! Can't wait to put some good exhaust on it

Congratulations! Sweet little ride. Looks just like mine w/o the flames. Yeah I think I'm gonna go down the the Lube this wednesday too, haven't been there yet. Maybe I'll see ya!

Hey Riff those sound clips are awesome - nice quality! I'm leaning towards HK 2.5" straights - I just like the look. I figure any aftermarket exhaust will sound good...tho I'm not really into the tremendous high pitch of the V&H's without a baffle (my friend has them on his 1800).

Anyway - also like the rifle - a popular choice around here. I need a windshield soon...that may be it. I'm going to try to leave work early on wed and maybe I'll see you out at the Lube as well!
