Just thought I will introduce myself

I have been trolling the site for the last few weeks and just bought my 08 1800 3 weeks ago loving every minute of it even though it has been pretty wet up here near Mackay, not that it would stop me riding though :P

Have to say that this is a pretty informative site and glad that i have found some "experenced" owners to get information and ideas from.

So keep the rubber side down

Craig

Yes.............Blue Heelers and HD's share a common bond, they both ride in the back of utes. After Timor wrapped up, Darwin was flooded with 2nd hand HD's

Enjoy the X..........it will be confused by onlookers as a HD, cept this one works :D

G'day Craig and welcome to the forum. I too have a new '08 1800, purchased in November. I live outside Mackay, so not too far away from you mate. Plenty of rain about eh! looks like more on the way too.

I'm sure you'll be stoked with your new VTX. Possibly one of the best cruisers ever built. Did you buy it from Redline Honda?

Cheers,
Brian

I'm not too big on HD jokes any more since loading my first VTX on the back of a ute  .

One possitive i guess... most onlookers probably assumed that it was a HD anyway  . (couldn't help myself)

I went the tribal red, plain black bikes don't do it for me realy

Brian yes I bought it through Redline they seem to pretty pretty helpfull, a whole lot better than bullet bikes any way
Hopefully i run into you one weekend when i am going into Mackay.

Gotta love the rain first 1500 km on the bike were nothing but wet riding last 500 haven't been to bad though, but wet or not i have enjoyed them all and the local area is looking nice and green again.
