If it is decent one of the days I 'may' ride my bike there, if not I will be taking the ole cage.

A few of my Navy buddies are talking about going too, should be fun!

It looks as of today that Sunday is going to be the better day here in the East.

Do any East Paer's want to meet up in the morning and head out early? Say 7:30 am...

We just switched ours to Sunday as well... A bunch of us Navy guys are riding down (5 riders at the moment).... this is what we put out to our group of riders...

I should be easy to spot in this group. I have a RED (fastest color) VTX1300 surrounded by my buddies Harley's!

Looking forward to seeing some of you there!

1803 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA (717) 241-2021
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&g ... 46864&z=14 (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Middlesex+dinner,+Carlisle,+PA&ie=UTF8&ll=40.241668,-77.125311&spn=0.026403,0.046864&z=14)

o The bike show will be held at the Allstar Events Complex
o Admission is $10
o Doors open at 1000

• If the weather permits we will take our bikes if not we will take our cars

:D Bike route --- Maps will be provided

 Take the Harrisburg Pike back to Carlisle

 From Carlisle we will take Route 34 straight to Gettysburg

 In Gettysburg we cut straight through to 15 which will be on
our Right -
** This is also called Steinwehr Ave and then changes to
Emmitsburg Road (But still Route 15)

 Follow Route 15 for approx 4 miles to the Allstar Events
Complex http://www.allstarpa.com/activities.php

:? Car Route

 We will take the same route as the bike if the weather doesn’t cooperate

• When we get there everyone is free to “mill about smartly” and being at the Allstar complex there are a LOT of things to do in addition to the bike show.

• The time you leave and the route you come back is at your own discretion. If the weather is cooperating you may want to plan for a quick ride around the Gettysburg Battlefield on your way home.

Note: If weather permits us to ride our bike, group rules apply. There will be a lead rider (Dan Warner) and a Sweep (Russ Drake)
*The lead will set the pace and riding formation (single, double or side by side) and the Sweep will carry an additional map, cell phone and if necessary assume the lead of the stragglers if the group gets split up

The following is recommended:

• Do a “TCLOCK” pre-ride inspection of your bike
**Tires, Controls, Lights and Accessories, Oils and Fluids,
Chassis and Chain, and Kickstand

• Gas up BEFORE you arrive at the Rally Points

• Brush up on the hand signals and use them while riding with
the group http://www.ama-cycle.org/roadride/groupRideSignals.asp

• Ride to your own ability

• Wear your safety gear and keep your head on a swivel!

• Have FUN!

Bullet,

I was there today from 10:30 to 2pm... what time were you all there? Sorry I missed you all...

Man was it a COLD ride, Buddies of mine and I met at 0700 at Sheets and left Carlisle at 0900. We all dressed appropriately and made it there and had a good time.

For being the 1st bike show it was very good... Enjoyed looking at all the bikes and merchandise.

I was hoping to see some Honda's (VTXs) on display but did not see a one.

Sure was a lot of Harley Davidson gear there though! On the way out I told my buddy I have a pretty unique bike - he asked how so - I told him you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a HD but find me a VTX and I will be amazed -

All in all a very good time riding and a very good bike show!

Russ,

Man, I can't believe we didn't run in to each other. Did have a couple from Hanover approach us because they saw our Pennsylvania VTX Riders patch on the back of our vests. The husband rides an 04 1300C and get this, the wife rides an 1800F. I did tell them to check out the VTXOA site & sign up. Also told them to check the PA Riders section on the VTXOA to get info on the different rides we do during the season. Hopefully we'll get together soon. Next weekennd is the 1st Sunday in Ephrata, Bullett & I plan to go if the weather is good. Ill post on the PA site if it looks like a go.

I was look at all the colors ... lots of Blue Knights and more HD backpatches but I didn't see you :( Were you two hanging out there by the Bikeweek Model? LOL She was something else! WOW-WEEE!

I saw something posted about Ephrata... Hmmmm I may go if the weather is good... I don't have colors yet, but have the order in for the back patch... I will check it out...

Glad you all made it down there and sorry I missed you and bullet!
