best thing to do is go to page 27 and read forward.

first post "We're Alive" Aug. 5th 2004 this forum was born.

a lot of twist and turns.

our coordinator Vortexx quit, some say me and maniac66 are sort of a reason. who knows.

it was called northeast florida vtx riders, we voted to change it.

alot of them left to go start over at VTXcafe.com, didn't take.

they vanished some cameback.

Me, Les and some others tried to get thing going, it didn't work out.

now here you guys are and it is the way we always hoped it to be.

i became a loner, accept for my bud MacDaddy and bro-in-law RED, i ride alone.

go back and read forward, may be boring sometimes and a long read but if you want to know it is all there.

Stewart Pylant was our moderator; we all had a meeting at the Ale House in Mandarin one Saturday and declared ourselves the "First Coast VTX".

From the start we all seemed to gel but as time went on we had very different views; there were a few who liked to ride on very long rides and others that didn't and yet others that liked to ride their bikes here on the Interenet.

A few of the folks have been "Corner Stones" with the group and continue to cultivate a growing membership with good people like themselves. I would credit a few that come to mind: Les & Mary / Dan & Becky / Pam & Lewis and the "Florida Map" in human form Pegs.

I myself am pretty much a loaner biker, been that way most of my ridin' life...I enjoy the RIDE!

well, bill, it sounds like you like his bike!

it's cool hearing and learning the history of this chapter! I know as time goes on, whats happening now will just be a phase within this chapter! People are hard to keep together! I love riding, and with the comraderie of fellow riders!
I only hope, what we all are doing will influence the kinship as long as possible!

it's like anything, or any situation in life. people change what they're doing. it's hard to keep anything up. and as the ol proverbial saying goes,,,,, nothing good ever lasts forever!

I only hope we all understand this, and keep encouraging each other to continually being a part of our lives! Sheietit happens with each one of us; domestic duties, work, relationships, friendships,,,,,,,,,all of this is a distraction. A distraction that pulls us away from what we all do here together,,,,

we all have one thing in common! It's important to remember! Lets keep that going!

now,,

i've got to go and fill my glass again!

love you all
love riding
lover riding with you

I will, within' my utmost power, and being, always be a part of this wonderful group that we call the Florida-First Coast VTX Riders. I have not known such brotherhood and friendship since my military service in the Marine Corps. I have grown to know many different personalities and shared in the laughter and friendships, heartaches and sorrows of my brothers and sisters. I have gained a family of some of the most wonderful people I have ever known. I am proud to wear my patch on my vest. It shows that I am a part of a brotherhood of friends that have become so tightly knit together, that we would always be there for each other, no matter what. And I love each and every one of them... Today my brothers and sisters, is our day... This is our chapter in the history book which will live on forever, long after we are gone...

Cheers, my brother Russ... I'm having a glass of that smooth nectar from the gods myself..
