Man, I took off from work today during what I thought was going to be the "lull". I rode the 15+/- miles from work to home and of course a mile or so into it the bottom fell out. The wind had to be 35mph or better... blowing the bike all over the friggin place. I got about 2 miles from the house and the sky darkened up... then the tornado siren went off. Funny how a "big bike" feels pretty d#mn little in a storm like that. :o
Of course I pull up to the house and the garage door is locked... it's pouring rain and I'm outside getting drenched trying to fish the keys out of my pants pocket (which is located under my rainpants). I finally get the door open and then my kids pop out of the bathroom. They'd taken cover in the bathtub... mattresses, pillows, the whole nine yards. It's kinda funny now, but you could tell they were scared. We've been overseas for the last couple years, and they don't have many tornadoes in Spain. :D
