Well, I jumped on the bike and headed to Outpost today... I made it to about Lynn Haven and my speedometer started jumping all over the place. Then it just quit. I'd wiggle the wires and it would jump a little every once in a while, but nowhere near the right speed. The odometer was on and off too. I thought about shutting it down and seeing if I coould figure it out, but I figured it was electrical and it might not start back once I shut down. So... I took the ride of shame back to the house. A quick search on the site, and it appears I'm not the only one... seems like the most common cause is the battery connections. I checked mine, and I was able to tighten them just a little bit. I wouldn't say they were loose though. I'll go check it out here in a little while... hopefully that fixed it.

On a side note, my brand new Honda saddle bags are going back to the dealer tomorrow. The chrome buckles act like they have the mange... chrome peeling off like crazy. Remember, I've only had the bike for a month and a half. Not real happy about that...

Sucks and Suck.

Hopefully the speedo fix was and easy one and you have it all taken care of.
Haven't done much searching about the honda bags. I have a set of tourmaster and have been real happy with them so far.

Well, it seems to be back to normal... but then again, it was normal right up until it freaked out. I'll keep watching it.

On the saddlebags, I called the dealership today and they said to bring them by. They are warrantied for a year.
