Anyone interested in getting together to ride down?
The Rolla Police Department and Special Olympics - MO, would like to
invite you to attend the 3rd Annual ROLLA RALLY / Show-Me Cruise
2004. This is a 3 day, all bike motorcycle rally to benefit Special
Olympics. This rally is the fastest growing motorcycle rally in
Central Missouri and will be held July 23 - 25, 2004 at the Central
Missouri Regional Fairgrounds (Rolla Speedway).
The Show-Me Cruise is a 550 mile endurance run beginning Friday
morning. Riders will gather at the ROLLA RALLY site, then ride to
Springfield, Sedalia, Columbia and St. Louis, gathering both
celebrity riders and rally goers and ride back into Rolla just in
time to attend the Show-Me Cruisers Welcome Home party, which will
feature KC's Most Wanted Stunt bike team, "live" radio remotes, food,
Police Specialty vehicles on display and much much more. This event
is just prior to the kick off concert at the ROLLA RALLY.
This year's events include a motorcycle show, a motorcycle rodeo, a
Friday night concert featuring female blues slide guitarist "Lauren
Ellis", followed by St. Louis' own "Spirit Canyon Band". On Saturday
night we will feature "Lynx" and then special guest, rock legend "Bad
Company" former lead singer Brian Howe, followed by "Kody Lucas Band".
There is also a Rolling Thunder Parade, accessory vendors including
Roadhog Motorcycle dyno-tuning, Missouri's own Ralph Roades and the
crew from "Wide Open" magazine, food vendors, beer garden, bikini
bike wash, "live" radio remotes from KKID Rock Radio, poker runs,
guided scenic tours, 2 motorcycle giveaways, event t-shirts and pins
and bikes, bikes and more bikes.
On Sunday, there will be a worship service, blessing of the bikes and
then rally goers may attend the Missouri State Motorcross
Championships at Mitchells' Motocross Park, located just south of the
ROLLA RALLY site. Rally goers get in for 1/2 price.
