My 200 W will be here tomorrow :) Can't wait to run the backroads with it. I tried a C220 about 2 years ago and it was a bit plain for $450. So I took it back. I tried the Mio and found that the maps where off by as much as a quarter mile. :rat: I liked the software that the garmin had so I went back to circuit city to buy a Nuvi. Though the internet showed them in stock, they didn't have any. :rain1: I ordered it off the web instead and FedEx has it in route to deliver tomorrow :pepper1:
PS, don't hit the esc key while typing, it erases your post

I've got a Nuvi 260 and I can tell you that you will like your Nuvi. The maps are accurate and the interface is very easy to use. Enjoy.

I have really enjoyed the Nuvi 200W. I also stumbled across geocaching.com while registering it. Lots of fun on treasure hunts! The maps are very acurate and are up to date. Battery life is 5 to 6 hours and the display is visible in daylight. I am using it to run around Orlando and have enjoyed its features very much.

How does the Nuvi 200W work with Geocaching? I have used a Garmin eTrex and a Zumo 550. They will give me the 'off road' disttance to the cahce as well as how accurate I am.
8 feet away with a 24 foot accuracy... story of my life.

It does well for an auto GPS. I use it in Fastest Route under Navigation and 3D under Maps. When I park, I switch it to Track up under Maps, and Off Road under Navigation. It sometimes takes a couple of walk arounds to get the accuracy to dial in, but it usually puts me within a couple of feet of the cache. I have been looking through the forum to figure out how to add the waypoints and POIs so that the hints are loaded on the Nuvi. So far, i am only getting the smart name and a partial hint. Still, it works really well and has only led me astray twice.

Does it come with software or are you referring the firmware on the unit?

I am referring to the Garmin engine that you see while using the GPS. It is all software, though gaurded closely by Garmin. As far as I know, all of these GPS units are just "Palm Pilots" for lack of a better word. I am using GSAK to manage waypoints for geocaching. A versitile 3rd party software package. It allows you to add to the Favorites menu for easily finding places you want to go.

Hey Crab, I just got the 260 nuvi today and love it. However, is there a bracket that can attatch to the vtx handlebars to mount it. I just have the window one that comes with it, but I will be using it more on the cycle this year and need a mounting system. :D

check www.e-mount.com (http://www.e-mount.com). Search by your device and you'll see all the mounting options. I ordered the one that mounts to the bars with a U-bolt. It was just released by the manufacturer and is leaving for my house today.
