Hey, guys, it's Cliff from Sturgeon. Moving upstate next month, Jewett,N.Y. Just got my CDL license gonna do some driving.
Does anyone in your group know about any jobs available with any local or National Trucking Companies??? Any help would be appeciated..
Been to Albany, have two offers from frieght companies but I have to go to N.Y.C. every day, the pay is great, I don't mind the miles but I want to stay out of the city....

P.S. Doing the Dragon and surronding areas with some guys that ride it every weekend leaving Thurs. March 27, back on Sun. We have over 20 doing this ride, these guys know all the back mountain roads, they are planning to do about 250 miles on Sat. Two passes of the Dragon with photos and then into the mountains.. Anyone want to make the run?????

Reaper the only jobs i know of is Maines and Willow run. both say they have four day work weeks and they are always looking for drivers, They deliver food products to McDonalds and eating places.If i hear of more driving jobs i will let you know. Also look on line for driving job in NY

Thanks Guys, took my endorsement tests today and passed, Tanker and Haz-Mat. That opens up some new territory. Went to my new area Tues. ya know what you guys call the Bronx and I call sorta upstate now that I have been corrected. Had a interview with a Liquid Petroleum distributor there. They called me back for a second interview tomorrow, Friday. They need a bulk tank driver and that is what I want to do, no home deliveries. Going back tomorrow, hopefully I can nail it down,,,Ride Safe,,,REAPS

Good luck with all that Cliff, you mothertrucker you, maybe we can make plans to meet at the Roscoe Diner in the Catskills and do some riding this summer......Will do up a pictorial on the trees install and such soon, just prepping for a big a$$ ache when I do the forks, not a fun job.

Yo Mick, The roscoe diner sounds good or even somewhere inbetween further North, we will work out out in the warmer weather. Hopefully some of you will come by me for a weekend. I have scoped out some incredible routes already. One part I am calling The Catskills Dragon, only about 30 minutes from my house. Open invite!! I go to you one weekend and you guys come to me. We are alot closer now!!

DaBeard, got your message late today I was up there all day lookin for a job, the interview with the LP co. fizzled when the manager showed me a e-mail from there corporate offices telling them that layoffs were coming. **** on me!!
But after that went to another L.P. company and when I walked in and asked the girl at the desk if there were any driving jobs, she told me that I would proberebly be hired within 30 days. Then she took me to see the manager, filled out an application, and the manager said she is in the middle of her yearly reports and forcasting and they would be doing some hiring within 30 days. A positive, got my fingers crossed.
